1994-1996: PSV Eindhoven
Ronaldo chose to join PSV after the 1994 World Cup, for which he was selected despite being just 17, but did not play. It was Romário who advised Ronaldo to start his European career at PSV; Romário being a former striker of the team from 1988 to 1993. Ronaldo scored 30 league goals in his first season in the Netherlands. His second season was marred by a knee injury which kept him out of most of the campaign, but he still averaged nearly a goal a game in the league, scoring 12 goals in 13 appearances. With PSV, Ronaldo won the Dutch Cup in 1996 and he was Eredivisie top scorer in 1995. During his two seasons he scored 54 goals in 58 games.

At 18 years age in his debut season he scored 30 league goals..he had an overall 54 goals in 58 games..then he went to barcelona and scored an astonishing 47 goals in 49 games...no one at that age did that..Truly a fenomenon

Even out of playing for 2 years due to crippling injuries, he still won the world cup being the top scorer.

He was not loved by everyone in Brazil after his selfish attitude in the 1998 final as well as his selfish pursuit of a record in the 2006 world cup. He cost us two World Cups. A selfish player above all else.

Hands down the most complete No. 9 ever to have played the game. Keep in mind that he was 16 going on 17 in this clip, and he's not playing against other 17 year olds, but against 25, 26 and 27 year olds. But he's dominating them not just in skill and technique, but also physicality! That's literally unheard of for a 16-17 year old footballer and that's why for me he's the goat.

Ver estos videos solo reafirman mi convencimiento que Ronaldo Nazario esta a la par de su majestad, 'O Rei' Pelé como los mejores de la historia, pero por masacre. Por capacidad atlética, definición, habilidad con el balón, inteligencia, visión y entendimiento del juego. Encuentro muy injusto que solo se le diga "el mejor 9" o cosas como "sino fuera por las lesiones". La verdad, quitando el periodo de sus lesiones, habrán sido como 10 años excepcionales de puro futbol de Ronaldo, ganando ligas, siendo goleador, por ahí una UEFA, una recopa, una intercontinental, un par de copas América, una Confederaciones, se le atribuye la Copa del Mundo de 1994 y fue figura indiscutible de la copa del mundo del 2002; jugador FIFA, balón de oro, botín de oro, apareciendo en 'onces' ideales por todos lados, medallista olímpico. La verdad, ¿qué más, viejo, qué más? Porque él era más que números y trofeos, sin exagerar, era un deleite verlo jugar. Después de sus lesiones, a un 60% la seguía rompiendo toda y metiendo goles. Y encima, para rematar, querido en todos lados. Sinceramente, junto con 'O Rei', los mejores de todos los tiempos.

The reason why Ronaldo 9 and ROnaldinho are better than messi and r7, or the best ever is because: - i never saw them argue/shout with the referee, never saw them celebrate arrogantly, never saw them try to faul an opponent aggresively, never saw the opponent team or fans hate or disrespect them, never saw r7 or messi carry their teams on their back like they did.

Verdade, hoje em dia é tudo salvo na internet. Highlights de tudo. O Pelé também muito menos teve essa oportunidade que os jogadores tem hoje. No caso dele foi até pior. Na época, tudo de Pelé foi gravado em fitas e muitas dessas fitas foram perdidas em incêndios na Record em 1969 e na Globo, não me lembro o ano. Dizem que havia um acervo absurdo de fitas com gols dele na Record e que foram perdidas.

@@showmusicaevideo Verdade. Esse eu vi desde os 18 anos(eu tinha 10 anos, vi na minha cidade de infância, Flamengo sub-20 contra o time profissional local) e depois nos profissionais. E não sou flamenguista, sou tricolor. Acho inclusive ele superior ao Ronaldinho Gaucho, não na habilidade, mas como jogador completo.

Ronaldo was the definition of gifted, he was tall , janky and balanced, he was strong as insanely quick, so agile and smart, if he didn't get that many injuries or get hypothyroidism, there wouldn't be a debate for the greatest ever, i myself believe that even with Messi, Cristiano, Pelé, Maradona, Di Stefano, Puskas, Ronaldinho, abd the others playes . Why Ronaldo Is Called The Phenomenon ! It's not real when ppl say that a player carreer is over just because he left Europe to play elsewhere. Like Ronaldo at Corintians, Ronaldinho also was still really good when he was playing at Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro when he left Europe, Marcelo and Felipe Melo just won the '' champions league '' equivalent for Fluminense on South America and Cristiano Ronaldo is still doing the best in Saudi league. So no, leaving Europe does not mean your carreer is over nor does mean youre not a good player anymore . Best 9 i've ever seen in my life Ronaldo. amazing dance at world cup 98 .
