When we have depression or intense moments of sadness, we sometimes feel like we want to run away from everything. Life can feel overwhelming, and like the only escape is leaving everyone, and everything we know behind.
Somewhere Far Away is about the impossible dream of running away to a place where everything magically feels better. It’s also about the shame of having these moments of darkness.
