Welcome to World Industry Corp! It’s all about money! Steve Rocco clearly made that imprint!!! Look what they did to James Craig? Cut! Evan Schefalbyn another amazing skater.... cut! And how they cut the funds to Deca Skateboards Menace skateboards and so on!! Thinking that wet willy shit sells still🤦🏼♂️
@9eyeh8chu94 жыл бұрын
Yup, Ronnie to me was always what I considered a “core” skater. He’s a skaters skater and that’s evidently not where the moneys at. Ronnie is someone I modeled myself after when I was 16 or 17 in the late 90’s after I was starting to develop skill and was already getting boards. That’s why he probably wasn’t a huge money maker for Rocco, it’s because most of his admirers were well past that cash cow Wet Willy vs Flame Boy first ever skateboard phase bullshit. But truth be told Ronnie needs to just run his own company and put on other core skaters such as himself. There’s always room for more heritage/core brands in the industry, it makes us strong.
@jdportwerks67954 жыл бұрын
Colin Wood you nailed it Colin! I’m a firm believer some brands fuck skaters up even if the skater is out of control or has mental issues etc. my Cousin Steven Cales being one of them! Antwaun Dixon Fabian Alomar. And the list goes on! I’ve seen one company with my own eyes do so many of my friends locally here in San Diego California so wrong!!! And here are some of the names that might ring a bell to you also! Osiris did wrong: Tyrone Olson Peter Smolik Kanten Russell Chris Dobstaff Shuriken Shannon And trust me they’ve made millions off of each and everyone of the skateboarders!
@9eyeh8chu94 жыл бұрын
Brooklyn’s Finest Red hook! 718 Tyrone was so bad man! I used to watch him all the way back in the Tony Magnuson Evol days. Sounds like a lot of these cats were Osiris too if I’m not mistaken. Thanks for the positive reply btw.
