So great to see Dio younger and healthy. I miss him so very much. Fan from the 70's on. He was so very talented, the whole package and also a really wonderful human being who loved his fans ❤️

What Ronnie doesn’t understand is us fans love him not only for his voice but his lyrics. I prefer songs about melting moons and clouds made of fire instead of computer technology and machines gone haywire

Such a humble man. I was at that very show. It was well worth the drive to TO that day. Simon is an exceptional drummer.

I read somewhere DIO really wanted Doug Aldrich at this time in the band who was playing in a Band in LA called Lion. Glad he did play with Doug later on- Doug is such a great guitar player.

Rowan is a great guitarist, and those songs are pretty great, like Between Two Hearts.

I've always loved LOCK UP THE WOLVES. I dont get the negative retrospective I find online, that album has credibility. It's a mix of all Ronnie had done before, sounds like Ritchie, Tony, and Vivian all rapped up in Rowan's skill.
@Hupomone Жыл бұрын
It's not Dio's best album, but it's surely underrated. Definitely Dio's bluesiest album.

Yeah! LOCK UP THE WOLVES is extremely underrated and overlooked. One of my personal favs and the guitar whiz Rowan Robertson has a new band called CUSTARD PIE play great music
@lxdead5585 Жыл бұрын
@@clintbronson5 it has one of my fav tracks: "My Eyes" (kinda self-tribute from DIO), "Night Music", "Hey Angel" and "Between Two Hearts", and ofc "Wild One". It's solid album.

Not sure why he thought he and Craig didn't write well together, "Dream Evil" was a great album!
@darthlalus3 жыл бұрын
They eventually went back together again at that time supposedly the rest of the band or some members didn’t quite like Craig for unspecific reasons

@@darthlalus Yea? Well there was no one else left from that band on the next lp anyway.
@elinino5275 Жыл бұрын
Craig has says in several interviews that he will say exactly why he left the band at that time. He has said a few times that Dio wanted him to use newer Marshall's but Craig wanted to use older. Who knows
@TruthSurge2 жыл бұрын
roland robertson? never heard of him. Wow, Craig left the band. I remember that guy on the Pain song. what was his name? He was kind of.... different but still good. Craig was great, Viv was youthful adrenaline unleashed and that Pain guy... he was like... techno-Hendrix-sfx.

Ozzy hires Zakk at 19. Hhhmmm. The parallels between Oz and Sharron and Ronnie and Wendy are striking. I'm a fan. Can look at it from a few different angles. Young men also got the chance of a lifetime to play with established pro's.
