If I could go back in time Ronnie is the one "rock star" I would want to meet and have a drink with. I've never heard of anyone that didn't love him. Amazing writer, Bass player, guitar player, Singer.....

Founding bass player in The Small Faces, Faces, etc. Great musician who passed early due to MS. Sadly.

Gallagher & Lyle- a great addition to any band. Their album Breakaway released in early 1976 is really great.

I remember seeing Ronnie with Slim Chance plus dancing girls at the Uni of Essex, fantastic gig…, the air was full of ‘strange’ smelling smoke 🙃🙃🙃

On the other snippets of this on youtube many more reactions but then they find this and have no more need to write more. Its so good, only to put on repeat. Everybody wants to sound like this. And want to look like Rod.....🚬

Well…… Here’s an old lady who listens to him since I was 14….. And even now the older I get and the more I listen … the more amazing and lovely he becomes, The world lost a true gift and it saddens me but I think the stars did that he existed and blessed us with his talent ❤️

Like a lot of Americans, I dug (and still do) the Faces. But for whatever reason it took me decades before I sought out the Small Faces (more curious than anything)... From there I've been absolutely hooked. Cannot believe I spent most of my life w/o knowing them and from them Ronnie Lane's solo work as well as some of Steve Marriott's solo work - (again as. an American, I certainly knew and dug Humble Pie as much or more than the Faces - didn't know the connections)... Now I go tell everyone (pun intended) to check out Ronnie's solo work.

I own all of his stuff from Small Faces to See Me. Truly spirited out put from the beginning. This BBC concert is gold I've watched it several times.

Thanks! The Terrific Ronnie Lane. Essential to the Small Faces and the Faces. His Ohh la la is one of Rod's most popular live songs, and Debris will stay with me forever. At a relaxed, non-rocking pace, with his unorthodox voice, one of the best songs of our time. His wonderful dancer wife doing the Canc-can starting at 35:12 in Ooh La La.

Glad I found this channel today. Or did it find me? Either way, I'm a Ronnie Lane fan going back to the Small Faces. My first experience with solo Ronnie was his songs on the Rough Mix album he did with Pete Townshend.

The bass player is Biddy Wright from the Nigerian band Akido. Ronnie produced the Akido's album in '72.
