Greatest defensive back to ever play the game. Deion Sanders refused to even get physical as stated by his former teammate, Jerry Rice. Lott has 10 more career interceptions, 620 more tackles, more qb sacks, more forced fumbles, more assists and both players played 14 years in the NFL. Ronnie is the only player in NFL history to be an all pro in three different positions.

Safeties do rack up much better stats though as they play the run as well as the pass and have better chances for interceptions bc they play over the top. Still a good point tho

Your Michael Vick polarizing clip is one of my all time favorites and the original vid that put me on to your channel, it takes a special talent to put together clips of video and music that are able to naturally trigger emotions in your body when seen, you have that talent and that video is a great example of that.

I was blessed to have been a student at USC when Ronnie Lott was there. He was great and fun to watch in a Trojan uniform. In the 1979 game against UCLA, I had a field level view near the East end zone of the Coliseum. I watched him read UCLA quarterback, Rick Bashore, as he threw a pass out to the Left flat. Lott was right there and he carried it in for a pick six. The game turned into a rout and Lott, no doubt added to the momentum. He was one of the very best in the game.

Ronnie wasnt a man who loved to win he was a man who hated losing he was taken out of a game because his fingers were broken and one of them were missing bones i saw he was tearing up and i knew why not because he was hurt no he was tearing up because he was gonna miss the rest of the game and for that he said amputate the finger so he can keep playing that's hardcore i don't know of anyone else that can claim they would do that let alone actually do it and on top of that he was a human cannon ball if he felt like you were the key component to winning the game for the other team he wanted you out and his way of getting you wasn't by hitting you and bull dozing you over no he literally threw all of his weight at top speed into you by jumping at the last second then you would fly into the opposite direction wincing in pain not even wondering who hit you because you already know who could it have been other than Ronnie Lott and his precision was outstanding he knew where and when to be and where to place his shot that's the way he played not to be the winner but out of fear of becoming the loser

I would go with Ronnie Lott, Ed Reed, Deion Sanders, and Rod Woodson. Night Train was great, but he could get away with so much more in terms of contact than later defenders could, and the passing game wasn't nearly as developed. He was exploiting what was a comparatively primitive passing game.
