Very interesting seeing Ronnie and Eddie in an interview considering the history between Ronnie and Barry. Ronnie I think wants Snooker to be in good hands, he loves the sport and what it has done for his life and wants to see it protected. That is why you had the look of uncertainity on his face when Eddie said 'Snooker isn't my business but who knows for the future.'

The problem with snooker is the small winnings as compared to other major sports. If the winning purses was worth multi millions then you would see a lot more interest. The more fuel you put in a rocket the higher and faster and further it goes. Long live O Sullivan and the rest of the players.

Saudi's should subsidise travel packages with tickets to such events if they want wider torusism. Better than spending tens of millions on promo, why not a few million to make travel easier with hotels, flights & tickets? Not everyone's cup of tea if your idea of a holiday is being on piss 24/7 with cheap beer, but lot's of people wouldn't mind another stamp on their passport somewhere exotic to see a event for a few days. If the price is right. Right now only cheap flights are indirect & Saudi ain't really as cheap as it seems re hotels etc. Get ya purse out turki my old mucker & set up a package. They did it for the world cup in Qatar & football clubs do it all the time for European aways
