The greatest man to ever pick a Snooker cue. I don’t think that is in any doubt now, not after this. Well he wanted to do 8-8-8, he’s two thirds of the way there! Come on now for an 8th World crown Rocket Ronnie! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

Hendry was better. Peak Hendry beats peak Ronnie, even though Ronnie will accumulate more titles due to his INCREDIBLE longevity and his amazing way to make his game work at 48 years old
@WAYNEANTHONYHOLMES-bt3zh5 ай бұрын
@@toziassmitt And yet Ronnie has a winning record over your peak Hendry, that includes in finals,the Hendry who could not get past the 90s! What a joke to compare a weak era champion with the greatest player of all time Ronnie O'Sullivan 🐐

It’s nice to see, for Ronnie fans that remember the awful years when he seemed to not be able to win anything, that he’s finally found a good run for him (and us) to enjoy in his later years.

What??? When has been not able to win?

The dry run when Hendry dominates the 90s and 2014 to Covid after Selby denied him at WSC 2014 final😅. Also patches of 2000 -2011 where John Higgins is still ahead of Ronnie in WSC title. Nevertheless, hats off to Ronnie over the long run. He proved all doubters wrong.

There was a period, must've been the roughly the 2004-2006 range where it was painful to be a Ronnie fan (granted I was only watching the large televised tournaments) because he could literally miss at any point and never seemed to get anywhere.@@tankgod888

How this man hasn't been recognised as the greatest ever sportsman to come out of England is beyond belief, he is by far the most gifted sportsperson of his chosen sport In our modern era, Idc that's my opinion and it should be everyone else who appreciates sport in general
@johnsrabe5 ай бұрын
Is there a “greatest sportsman ever to come out of England” award? That’s the first step. Then possibly you’d need to mention this idea in a bar during a soccer match. Then fight off the Max Woosnam fans: Wiki: Among his achievements were winning an Olympic gold and silver in tennis at the 1920 Summer Olympics, winning the doubles at Wimbledon, compiling a 147 break in snooker, making a century at Lord's Cricket Ground, captaining the British Davis Cup team, captaining Manchester City F.C. finishing ultimately runners-up for the Football League Championship in 1920-21, and captaining the England national football team. He also played football for Cambridge Town.

Have been a Ronnie fan all my life, and still feel privileged seeing him win the big ones after all these years. Tbh, I can't understand how he keeps winning them. It's not that he played great during the tournament. In patches, he played more than decent, but all his adversaries crumbled when it mattered the most. It's like he activated a fear factor button for the last couple of frames. Another thing, apart from the feud between them, Ronnie shouldn't have taken this dig to Carter. Leave him alone. If he thinks he's not in the same class, leave him be.. It takes a bit away from yet another great feat.

I really enjoyed the final. 1I would have much preferred Allie to win well/ugly, 2 I wanted to see a good match we certanly had that. I was very disappointed with Allie after the match what he said was good and funny, but he should have thanked the crowd as not all of them were Ronnie fans and been more complimentary to Ronnie.

Greatest player of all time. Only Judd Trump (the 2nd greatest) comes close to him.
@KC-oz1yc5 ай бұрын
Yes, in terms of talent, Judd is maybe behind Ronnie but he's not the second greatest. Ronnie was considered the most talented/natural gifted or best player in terms of peak performance long before he got near the triple crown records. Being one of the goats is also about staticking up triple crowns or major wins over time. Judd only has 4. He is more gifted than Selby, I think , but Selby has 4 world titles and more triple crowns and a pool world champion before taking snooker more seriously. Also Higgins,Hendry,Davis,Readon and Williams all have more triple crowns than Judd.
