Constructive criticism for Tom Ford: Have them turn up the volume on your microphone AND speak clearly into it with some enthusiasm. Don't repeat yourself too much. Half of what makes snooker great is the quiet between shots :)
Alright, so everyone was on their case about it... and I quite like it, and especially because it's (a little) different; don't know if I'm mistaking in the first impression.

Seen a few comments about the commentators. To be honest, I think the best ones have been the "classic" ones on the BBC: John Virgo, Willie Thorne, Dennis Taylor, Ray Edmonds. Could never stand Clive Everton, though. I think Stephen Hendry, Ken Doherty and John Parrott are the best ones of the new commentators in recent years.

The best commentator for me is Neil Foulds
@BassGoBomb2 жыл бұрын
@@deepskymike767 I don't disagree with the main 'commenter' but I especially agree with you .. he is an excllent commentator, imo, very knowledgable, truly watches what is going on - seldom if ever makes crap comments, funny and a good pitch of voice.

@jhkk12692 жыл бұрын
The whole “you wouldn’t think those 2 shots are in the same frame” comment is just absurd. Ronnie played the roll up break to wait for an opportunity, he saw a small one and went for it?
@wischef642 жыл бұрын
It's like he's trying for a cross between Clive Everton's intelligent commentary and Sid Waddell's stupidity. He's not as bad when he's paired up with Neal Foulds. Foulds takes over and Yates doesn't get as many chances to speak.
@andrewmorton33442 жыл бұрын
I completely agree; he might be a very nice man but commentary should not be for him. His lack of sincerity and love of cliches could drain the inspiration from even the most inspirational.

@Supkis, actually throughout his career, more often then not, players used to beat him by breaking down his (idea of the) concept and letting him self-destruct. Ronnie is a, proper, self-centered wanker... and one of the best snooker players that's ever lived.
