Yeah I don't get that, how does he line it up properly??
@oh8wingman2 жыл бұрын
I have a friend who is also very tall as is Massey and he plays the same way. I asked him about it once and he told me his height allows him to see the table from a higher elevation than shorter people and he can see exactly where he has to place the cue ball on the object ball instead of having to envision it as shorter players do. We played a couple of games and I used a milkcrate as a stand to get my height up to his. It didn't take long to figure out what he was doing and he was entirely correct. When playing from a taller position it was more akin to looking straight down on the table and you could see the lines better. The very size of a 6 x 12 snooker table negates this advantage so you have to sight on the cue. Having said that, never play a tall guy on a 4 x 8 8 ball table because he will kick your ass........lol

Massey rarely used inside or check, all running English. Pocketing the two in the 4th he used running again and out of position on three, on playing of which he scratched. Had he used inside he so easily could have come back up for three in the bottom right corner. I'm surprised because I'm sure many of Massey's trick shot lessons are about just that kind of use of English

47:44? did the rule change or were they wrong? Ronnie could push out and pot the 9 and it'd just be respotted and it wouldn't be a foul.
@axlrollz3 жыл бұрын
It is a foul to hit the 9 ball in after your opponent pushes out. It respots and your opponent gets ball in hand. Mike pushed out, so its ronnie's decision to hit the 1, give the shot back, or take a foul on the 9.

A champion snooker player, having only played a couple of 9 ball games, doesn't even bother to learn the rules & beats Earl the Pearl Strickland. What a joke this game is. The guy he plays here has no idea where the cue ball is going & still somehow wins, shows how stupid this game is.

@@carlgois8579 I have seen Earl Strickland and Efren Reyes play left handed pretty well. And I am sure a lot of professionals can actually do it to a reasonable standard... but still they are not confident enough in it to play critical shots.

Impossible to compete in professional level if your break is trash. I love to watch Ronnie play snooker but pool is about spins and cue ball control with various speeds etc so there might be a reason why not too many professional snooker cueist haven’t gone to far in pool. Apples and oranges

@@SamuL147 Ronnie plays with a snooker cue because frankly the game of billiards is beneath him. If he gave a shit he’d use a pool cue and get the same break power as the rest of the players. They very fact he beats world champions and barely makes an effort is amazing. I guarantee you none of the pool dorks would be beating any snooker world champions on a snooker table.

Feel like Ronnie beat himself here. Winning his first couple of games, then winning the first set so easily, you can sense him become complacent. He then misses several pots after not even checking the potting angle, plays a few loose positional shots, and of course forgets/is ignorant of the rules. Massey was playing badly and had no right to win this.
