It is true that they raise special cows for the leather... the cows are farmed at a certain elevation to avoid defects from insects and insect bites that can't live above a certain elevation.

The interior leather is from cows raised in high elevations where insects do not live, so their skins are blemish free. They are pretty special cows.

@@rm4209 If you live at a high elevation does that make you a special human? Only if you have a low IQ like Ronnie will you be called special. High quality leather is all about the processing period. It would be easier to have the cows raised in mesh corrals. They only make about 50 cars a year so you don't need many cows. The French have never been known to have efficient manufacturing at any rate or perhaps it's to add to the mystique and price. The majority of cows raised for leather are done so in northern climes to reduce insect bites as well so these Bugatti cows are not special.

My favorite Bugatti story is about the tires. V.W. contacted Michelin because nobody in the world built a tire that handle the top speed and the weight of the car. So Michelin cam back to V.W. a few months later and said "good news we built you a tire, bad news is and 257 MPH they only last for 15 minutes." V.W. replied " that's ok, at 257 MPH you only have 8 minutes of fuel!"

FYI Bugatti says each Chiron takes an average of six months to build - from the start of production to delivery - at the hands of 20 employees, who assemble the 1 800 individual parts by hand.

Ronnie is kinda right. It takes 18 people total to build the car. The body is hand laid carbon fiber. They only use a certain breed of cows that live at higher elevations to avoid fly bites, Rolls Royce and Bentley do the same thing.

If Ronnie knew anything about the Veyron he would have said it's a V16 with four turbos and ten radiators. It will do 270mph in exquisite luxury, which is faster than a purpose built formula one car.

The body of this car I think is made in various panels at a time by carbon fiber fabricators. No hammering or stamping of steel. Carbon fiber panels that take a while to cook under pressure. The resin is applied by hand and all that shit attached to the main tub. The engine blocks are individually molded and some things are hand finished. Once they pass precision mapping, they are assembled by hand along with the interior and electrics. Still a douche mobile but I suppose worth the money

I think when Ronnie was talking about banging out sheetmetal he was referring Howards question about what does a handmade car mean, not specifically what does a handmade Bugatti entail. Obviously the Bugattis skin is mostly carbon fiber so its not "banged" out. Still love them busting Ronnies balls and LOVE the Ronnie Puppet.

It's so funny that he cannot communicate properly, and then they show the clip of JD canceling that awful car after-show he had. Brilliant! How hard is it to say; "it's hand assembled in Germany from parts designed on a computer by Volkswagen luxury marque engineers and it's the fastest production super car at some time. Also, they cost more to build than they sell them for." That sums it up. Pretty simple stuff, and that he's a car nut and can't explain it is funny, then Fred's puppet chimes in... we all win! F Ronnie! :)
