Huge Faces fan and I absolutely loved Ronnie Wood. I was over the moon when he finally brought out an aptly named solo album in 1974 titled 'I've Got My Own Album to Do' I wasn't disappointed. This is it - and all of these artists appear on the studio album too. If you like this, get 'Now Look', his second album, made the following year. It's equally good, and like this, is littered with the very best of musicians supporting him. I still listen to this 49 years on and enjoy it as much as I did as an 18 year old. Wonderful music that travels right through you.

I was at this show and have great memories of it ! The band was superb ! Andy Newmark & Willie Weeks was an immense rhythm section. Ian Mac - rip - solid on piano and then keef & Ronnie doing their thing !! . . .The night I was there Rod came on to add to the event & the following night Mick took over. This show highlighted Ronnie's " I've got my own album to do " which was a brilliant album. Sure at times a bit rough round the edges but what a joy to see & hear both live & on record. Great ! Great ! Great memories. God bless ya Woody . . . .

Les Paul Jr's, are the best sounding and playing guitars for straight forward rock and roll. Made with aged mahogany from the past 30s, I think, In the late 50s you paid a 15,percent more for the T.V. yellow see through finish. I had a 57 single cut ,and a 58 double, best electric guitar I've ever had.

@@shspurs1342 Hmm, I don't know what the number 1005 is. But my point re rock/pop music culture was that it was more fun when there was more of a mystery. When I didn't know what my favorite band had for breakfast, and when we didn't know every word of every song. When you didn't have silly ideas like "Rock'n Roll Camp" on TV. I should've explained my point better.

Well yes and no. Ronnie, yes. Keith, partially. For 1975/1976 tours which LYL was recorded from, Keith used Ampeg amplifiers (same as here). But a big part of his sound here is a Les Paul Junior Double Cutaway with a P90 pickup. That with the Ampegs give it that gnarly gritty sound. For the LYL album, he never used that guitar. Never the less, great tone here and during LYL. My favorite Keith tone.

He's really playing beautiful and expressionate all night here but Ronnie's first solo on if you gotta make a fool of somebody is particularly amazing

Good call. The backing during that solo is also awesome. At first I thought ti was Keith playing Reggae type guitar, but it's Willie on great Bass.

This is okay, but I thought Ron's solo stuff always fell short. Keith's too. It might be comforting to know that I am currently in treatment though.

Thats good! Your rightRonnie and Keith arent the best of lead guitarist but while playing they mesh well.

@@ricandreoli8086 Actually, it isn't their playing. I love their guitar work when working with other people. I wouldn't have liked Faces without him. And he and Faces made Rod's early '70s solo records as good and timeless as they are. I've heard almost nothing from Rod since he and Wood parted ways that I like. And he's been a perfect fit for the Stones (I prefer the Taylor years though). And didn't he make some good records with Dylan and Clapton? And many others I'm sure. And while Keith's solo records were uneven, there was some greatness there. And then there's his guitar work, song writing, producing and overall creativity. Keith is one of the most influential musical artists of the rock era. To my ears, great musicianship may not have much to do with technical skill. serving the song is much more important than virtuosity. But the enjoyment of art is like "beauty is in the eye of the beholder.;" "To each, his own;" "Whatever floats your boat," and so on. I listened to the Stones latest and while I don't have much interest in what they're doing anymore, it's a solid rock record. And what I heard here was good. I'm sure it was a pretty exciting show!
