Driving further North through some of the most scenic villages, we head up to Padum - the heart of Zanskar. We explore the main market - eating at restaurants, shopping for essentials - it's a sudden boom of city life after being in isolation for the past few days. Then we go check out some local attractions - the waterfall in Sheela Village and an ancient rock carving site called Gyalwa Ringna. And finally we head to Photang - H.H. The Dalai Lama's Residence in Zanskar where we get to witness a historical homecoming.

I walked the Zanskar valley for 15 days, made my way from Ladak to Manali. It was and will always be the most life altering experience i have ever had. This was 9yrs back and Padum has really grown since then. Cant wait for you'll to hit the valley of flowers and see how you shoot it. Thank you making me relive some beautiful memories.

Ronnie Sir and Bharti Ma'am, you guys are really really lucky that you stopped in Padum that very day when the 'Religious texts' of Zanskari people- Kangyur returned. Maybe you guys don't realize but I think you guys were the only photographers/videographers in there at that moment! So you just captured *A History in Making!* P.S: The music from 5:18 !!! I can really meditate on that music alone! Thank you for such a wonderful treat to my eyes. Love you guys. And a very happy Bhai-Duj to you Ronnie Sir!

@@rajiv8k yes we r Indian but I have seen the condition where our india tourist dirt the place a lot. I have seen in Manali, Dharamsala .... N I have also seen how the foreign tourist does.. So don't put that nationalism by mistake here. Keep it aside, keep Zanskar clean...

A lot seems to have changed in Padum since we visited 6 years back. Don't remember seeing a single mobile phone there back then! But also good to see a lot of it just as I remember it. Zanskar was a special time for us, we arrived here in an Indian Oil truck, and there was a curfew. But it made us certain we were in love with the road and wanted to live a life of travel. And my heart sank with the title of this video. But good to see even Padum holding fort and maintaining its character. The Phuktal video made us relive our time there. We had of course, gone from Padum. The road was, in 2013, almost done till Anmu. Purne was still accessible only on foot. Can't wait to see more of Zanskar again, through your videos.

This Zanskar series is much more interesting, entertaining and insightful than the stupid Bard and Blood of Netflix. Everything of Bard and Blood was made in Ladakh and showing it as Baluchistan which made it look utterly ridiculous and frivolous. The Family man from Amazon Prime was much better in comparison. I am going to write to Netflix to buy the rights of Ronnie & Barty Vlog!
