On of my good college friends immigrated from China when she was about 13 years old. Her family celebrated thanksgiving but with Chinese food. She said they tried traditional thanksgiving food one year and they did not like the turkey. So they went back to thanksgiving with traditional Chinese food. Thanksgiving is good with any type of food.

My hairstylist is a Malaysian Chinese lady, immigrated to America about 20 years ago. She only spoke Cantonese at the beginning. After settling down, she started to learn English and mandarin, she worked two shifts to make a living. On top of that, she had her degree and raised two kids to college . No complaints, no pointing fingers, only hard working and very positive and cheerful personality.

I saw Ronnie at a small stand up show when he was first starting out. He was awesome at his impromptu stuff just hammering audience members for the first 10-15 minutes. I wish some of that stuff would come back up - whilst his prepared stuff is good - his stuff he does on the spot is even better.

I feel like people can respect a diverse range of music, I personally love BTS, Eminem, Queen, The Beatles and many in between. So to me, it isn’t a fantasy, it’s real life and a legible fact.

Only kinds who don't know what music actually is can type that. I to enjoy rap, but not the popular shit. I too enjoy Kpop, but not the oversexualised popular crap, the good ones and the male ones. Thing is there is not a person alive that knows what good music is and doesn't like bohemian rhapsody and that is a fact.

I used to think how stupid and socialist this thing is, but after researching it for quiet sometimes now, I can say this could not be further away from socialism. This is very 1990s dated Asian stereotype that all Asians are smart. If you go by actual statistics the most educated group in the US is American born West Africans who hold more degrees per person than any group above Asians, Jews and White people. But who needs truth when you can rely on outdated stereotypes.

indigo_blue what does Africa being poor have to do with West Africans being the most educated group in the USA? Here is a quick history lesson Africa is poor because Europeans stole resources for 400 years. Japan, China and South Korea are rich countries because Europeans didn’t colonise them and steal their resources for centuries

West Africans don't descend from slaves and the impact of slavery greatly reduces the education performance of African Americans because it was essentially illegal for slaves to be educated for 200 years and it was punishable by death if a slave could read. 4 in 5 West Africans in the US have an American degree, far higher than Asian population. Also in the UK, one of the best education systems in the world where East Asians send their kids learn, West Africans also outperform Asians there. 78% of West African kids get 7 or more As, more than any other group.
