Talon, Mike, Kenny, I, and the rest of the crew have quite the mess to clean up after an ice storm passed through. One semi tractor & trailer jack-knifed on an icy bridge. And a Piggy-back stack got caught up in the mess, somehow. This is one of the rare wrecks that I can't tell exactly what happened. I sure know the outcome, however. It's all hands on deck for this major cleanup!!! I had to edit out the jack-knife portion of the video for reasons I won't go into. There is still PLENTY of action to be had to clearing up the mess from the Piggy-back. The steer axle broke loose on the lead truck. The second truck broke loose and went into the rear of the lead truck (horse). Somehow, the bridge was damaged in the crash as well. This thing was like a skating rink!! Thankfully, we brought plenty of ice melt and oil dry!! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

There’s a few reasons they may not be shown. - Fatalities are a hard ‘NO’ - Serious injury is highly unlikely to be shown - If permission isn’t / cannot be obtained, even though there’s no expectation of privacy in public, it’s always best to get permission to show things, especially of a potentially sensitive nature.

As I missed my dad after he passed on to heaven, sure you will and are missing him when he went to eat with the Lord! I watched each show that he was in two or more times! You have a tremendous crew and most all seemed to respect him and followed his leading without him saying anything! Some drivers seem to wanted to drive faster in bad conditions. Perhaps they are wanting to reach their destination faster and be out of the cold. But one wrong move and they will be spending a lot longer in the cold, assuming they reach their known destination. Slow down, and move over for first response vehicles and personnel.

As a first responder myself, I can absolutely understand why you did not show the first part of this. Something I learned early in my career was that no one is going to notice if you are 30 seconds late, but they sure will notice if you don’t make it there at all. We get some very thick fog in my area. Sometimes you can’t even see 20-30 feet past your hood. Many times I’ve reduced from code 3 to code 2 just because it’s not safe. Always only go as safely as you can. Thank you again for another quality video.

@@RonPratt Hi Ron, even though it's a shame to hear that your channel stats are going down, there are many features that make your channel stand out. Besides the family friendly content, it's the technical explanations and the complete working process with the driving part and also the communication with police and firefighters. I would keep that as your community appreciates that along with the reliable upload on Fridays. I suspect that with your somewhat old-fashioned 20 second intro you are likely to lose new viewers in particular. The first seconds should be moving images, either with a text that arouses curiosity or cleverly chosen music. Just have a look at other successful channels and decide. In addition, you neglect the community tab and here the smartphone users. There is still some potential here for new viewers, e.g. also with the surveys. Whether a technical upgrade with drone footage will help, I can not assess, perhaps the weather is better suited for this in California. What can't be helped is the growing competition on TV and here on KZfaq. What most are not allowed to do are Code 3 orders, that is almost a unique selling point. Please keep doing what works best for you and thanks for your videos. Best regards from Germany

Agree, but it maybe it was just an issue with the trucking company. Sometimes owners get real pissy about bad PR - justified or not. Ron's statements seemed more aggravated than "affected", to me.

My presumption is that it involved major injuries or worse which he won’t show here. That’s also why some blurring around the 9:20 or so occurred, I believe.

A nation wide trucking company? Big $'s involved ? V & F trucking not edited out the same though? Better not to even mention part 1. Shame spoils the video.

Given Ron's comments above and what he has previously said there is either a seriously injured person or a fatality involved

I grew up around trucks. I saw the angle of the box trailer to the bridge. One of my late father's drivers barely survived a driver's side jack knife years ago. Fortunately, Dad had just splurged on a custom heavy-duty headache rack that took the brunt of the hit. Thank you, Ron, for your sensitivity to the driver, family, friends, and coworkers, to not show the serious ones. I also heard about the pileup. 🙏Prayers for everyone involved on that one.

It was a tough recovery and the elements made it a challenge. Yes we worked the I57 crash and it was horrific. Our prayers go with all involved in the tragedies and with those who worked hard to take care of the aftermath. Thank you for watching and God bless!

yeah that ice storm was a hell of a thing, i figured you would have your hands full when that hit. Here in Central Illinois we got freezing rain/sleet, then snow piled on top of it, i stayed home when that type of weather hits. Also HI TALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dangerous work out there. Anybody that has watched you a while understands why you didn't show parts of your work that night. Great to see Talon even though it was less than desirable circumstances. Please have him pop in some day when you are at the shop.

You are one of the most popular people in this industry. And when you make a decision to not show certain parts of a video you have looked at all aspects of what should be filtered out to respect what is right for your business. Keep up the great work. Thank you, good thoughts and prayers for all of your crew.

Hello Ron & crew! Good to see Talon again. Thank you for the job you do! What a mess! It's like peeling an onion, one layer at a time! Did you get your vector Victor? Stay safe and God bless you & your families for the sacrifices you make every time you go out on a call. A true professional responding with calm, respectful directions is an inspiration for all. Prayers for all involved!
