@@spitfireaace I suspect David is completely done with anything to do with Pink Floyd. The only reason this latest single was released under the name Pink Floyd was to generate attention and donation revenue. I don't think there will be any more Pink Floyd tours or concerts, let alone new music (unless David finds some other worthy cause, which is not likely to happen). But it does look like he's not completely retired from music, as there are some rumours that he is working on a new solo album. We might hear one or two Pink Floyd songs in concert, if he decides to have a concert, but it will the same mellow classics written by him, like Fat Old Sun and the like.

The moment Nick and David do something together, legally it is Pink Floyd and that brings with it a whole host of contractual matters - so it is just not as easy for David to do this as Roger.

Just saw this show at the Beacon last night, glad I caught it, I've seen Pink Floyd 27 times as well as going to see their solo acts. Nicks selection of songs were awesome to say the least. The large majority of which I've never seen played live, if you get a chance go see this show, 2 thumbs up

@@mine7292 Being in this biz I've seen dozens of these 'surprise guest' appearances, and yes they are rehearsed soundck'ed to a large degree. But something as little as Roger going up on the riser to hug Nick is just spur of the moment spontaneity on Roger's part. And Roger knows how to treat his friends and fans.

Then why did Roger all but kick Nick out of the band during the 1980-1985 period. He treated Nick badly, and he treated Rick even worse. There should never be any drummer recording Pink Floyd albums other than Nick Mason.

@@beatlesrgear That's Richard you're thinking of, Nick was still on good terms with Roger before the lawsuit. In the early 2000s before Live 8, Nick and Roger reconciled and are still great friends to this date. And they both meet in their first term of architecture school back in 62'.

God i wish Roger had been there for the entire concert, when these guys combine its sonic magic & would almost count as a Floyd live album. Especially if Gilmour also did some guest appearance like he did with the Pretty Things S.F. Sorrow live concert The Final Bow. I saw an interview with the band where Nick said this was performed essentially unrehearsed with Roger because Nick rang him up in NYC, Roger agreed to do it but subsequently left his phone in a taxi and they had no other opportunity to arrange a rehearsal until Roger showed up at the theater. Pretty good job winging it.

Oh no, .... =))) Roger loses his cello drum ball during the holy acts ... what a moment. This is contemporary history that you will never forget! It was the greatest disaster for all of us when Roger left Pink Floyd in 1985. We can be glad that Roger, David and Nick are still so active today. Heaven protect them. Around 1971/72, was going to a big school. My GF then, joined the radio team, sent to all the classrooms (through the Intercom system). So I joined too.They gave me the job of DJ. 1st song I inserted in the radio was this one. Funny thing happened: They never asked me to "radio Dj" after this. It was apparently "too much" for the radio students team. Now close to 50+/- years, I'm still listening to it ;-)

Nick Mason is vastly underrated . The polyrhythms build and build with the scatter of xylophone riding along.What an arrangement!Roger Waters sounds the same as on the album,Ummagumma except with great happiness being onstage with Nick Mason!Saucerful of Secrets
