Are you looking for a stunning and affordable overhead roof blind? Well, look no further than the LanternLITE™ DIY Overhead Honeycomb pleated blind. Known in the trade as honeycomb blinds, cellular blinds, double pleated blinds, or Duette blinds - these attractive blinds are fantastic insulators as the cells of the fabric trap pockets of air that insulate from within the fabric. Our blinds are slightly different though as we can accommodate sizes up to 300cm wide and 450cm long.
The DIY LanternLITE Honeycombe overhead blind is a flat roof blind that is available as either an electric roof lantern blind or a manual roof lantern blind.

The beauty of our DIY Cellular Overhead pleated blind is that it comes in 2 electric options
Option 1: Battery Operated: with solar panel
This fantastic option is great if you do not have any power in your roof space. The blind is self-sufficient and has an integrated motor and lithium battery hidden inside the top rail. The blind is then kept topped up the the solar panel which fits above the blind. Once every 6 months or so (depending on usage) you will have to charge your blind which is easy with the battery charger that is supplied with the blind. A Skylight binds Direct Favourite!!
Option 2: Mains powered
Our mains powered blind with an integrated Somfy motor which needs a 24vdc regular power supply. It also comes with its own transformer and single-channel remote control. Ideal if you have electricity already in place.
Manual Roof blind
Our manual roof blinds are a slightly more cost-effective option and are great if you don't have electricity in your roof space. You can opt for the wand operation as per this video or for larger blinds we recommend the crank handle option. The crank handle is a pole that engages in the headrail of the blind and then you wind the crank which operates the blind backwards and forwards.
