Alright so the "main 3" videos are now out, this, choose a main, and beginner guide. So now in the following days we will get into the weeds with some more extra specific guides, and also soon you should start seeing some combo guides for characters and the big character guides coming as well! Doing my best here so hope you all enjoy the content!

When E. Honda is slapping the tires in the idle choose character animation, if you look at his feet, you'll see that his big toe comes up when the foot rises, and the rest of the toes curl down. He does this to keep the flipflop flush with his foot, and not hanging out and flopping about. The level of detail in this game is mind-boggling.

Thanks for this absolutely amazing video man. I am completely new to street fighter, always have pretty much exclusively played Mortal Kombat when it comes to fighting games, but I thought this game looked awesome, and wanted to give it a shot. This video taught me a whole lot, especially about the punish counter system, which I had no idea existed.

The parry info was great, I was really struggling to work out how to use it effectively outside of fireballs/perfect parrying. Using it for mixups is a great idea. Also had no idea about it having the same frame advantage properties as blocking.

Tip 9 helped a lot, would love to see more on drive rush juggles, extensions, conversions, etc. For example there's plenty of opportunities to use a rush to extend a combo, but would damage scaling even make it worth, so on and so forth. Can't wait for the Marisa combo guide >:)

11:42 How the recovery in burnout works just speaks volumes on how tight everything in this games, in all the modern games from DMC5 over the RE remakes to SF6 it's just so noticeable how Capcom has decades of experience with fighting games of all sorts. Just compare the combat in Dragon's Dogma to compareable titles, it's just ahead in every way...

Thanks for the video. As someone new to SF, I'm finding these very helpful. At some point, I would appreciate it if you could cover the specifics of throws in this game. I come from DOA where a WUK or any strike beats a throw but I find myself getting thrown even when I wake up pushing buttons or at odd moments mid-strike. I take it throws work a little differently here but I haven't quite figure out when I'm susceptible to them outside of blocking, drive parry or general recovery (strike/whiff recovery). Thanks again.
@rooflemonger
@rooflemonger Жыл бұрын
I talk about throws in the beginner guide. This isn't doa or vf rules though, strikes have no power over throws unless they hit on the exact same frame of active frames, which will very rarely happen.
