Made up this trilogy of FANG videos because sadly there is so little fang stuff out there that isn't oudated(not current to season 2.5 balance). Hopefully you can find this of some help if you are a true low tier hero and show fang some love!

7:11 Ending your combo with a Nishikyu is actually ill advised since it's -7 on hit and -11 on block. If spaced properly though it's pretty decent but the startup makes it sweep bait. While it may work sub diamond, I've gotten punished almost everytime against higher ranked players.

Been playing with Chun-Li and Dhalsim with Birdie being my main ever since I started playing this, and I always told myself that when I can land charges consistently with Chun and can get top execution with Dhalsim I would pick up this character. Well, the time has come. With season 3, he doesn't seem all too bad, but i'm very happy to begin my endeavor with FANG. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to really start and this amazing guide helped get me started. Thanks a ton, and let the new age of FANG begin!...at least I hope...this character is really cool.

This was a season 2 guide but most of it is applicable to season 3. Happy it was of help to you!

rooflemonger Yeah, there are a few things, but almost all of it still works. The very few that don't though are a simple adjustment. The guide is still a very sturdy bridge into learning season 3 FANG.

What an incredible primer to learn FANG with. This explained a ton. Any hope for a Season 4 update to the guide/combo video?

Unfortunately not quite on the SF train right now so no s4 update, I am glad this works a s a bit of a primer though still.

Keep in mind I made this for season 2! It does not reflect the arcade edition changes. In time I will get around to remaking the fang vids with s3 in mind however.

Really well explained nice guide i just started playing fang he is my first charger i main Kolin he is so fun but i still struggle with the whole charging stuff but this defo helps alot

This guide is out of date FYI. a lot of the core is the same but he has things like flying now which didn't exist back when I made the vid.

a lot of this info is good, but the big problem with any blockstring ending in cloud is that nearly every character has a button that goes right through the cloud, so they can tag you for putting it down (like Bison and Urien stand MK or Akuma stand jab or tatsu). It is quite frustrating. And now Menat is here and all her ball normals just ignore the cloud all together... :(

so quick question, I noticed coward kick can actually be grabbed out of after it's blocked. is it a problem on my timing, or is there a gap in it after the two kicks are blocked?

How in gods name does st.LP combo into fierce punch?? I can only get that to work on counter hit..

Its only because of what proceeds it. The LP is actually hitting meaty, not on the first active frame. If it hits on the first active frame, then it would only work on counter hit.

if the enemy is in poison and near fang v-trigger .Will the poison double?

Unfortunately no, v-trigger just applies poison when the foe is near him. However it does apply poison several times ever second, so it is always "starting" at its maximum duration as long as its on. Everytime a foe hits you it immediately re-applies for example.

That they do. Season 3 is not too far off now only a few more months, I truly believe fang will finally get what he needs, especially after the bungle that was season 2 fang.

yup,1 more new character to go. it will be great if Nikankyaku and v-reversal can also release poison without hitbox.

well as the rumour mill goes from leaks, there will be new v-everything. Every character will have a new vskill, vreverse, and vtrigger to pull from and you can choose which one you want like choosing an ultra in sf4. If true fang benefits more than most because he gets to escape his awful vtrigger and vskill, most anything else would be better.

People use characters based on their popularity, design, and move list. And those that don't take bunch skill to use.

What kind of controller are you using? On my PS4 controller, doing an instantaneous Sotoja like that is so inconsistent for me. I can only seem to do it after holding opposite direction for a decent amount of time beforehand.

I use a normal arcade stick. However nothing about the arcade stick is what makes it possible its simply practice makes perfect friend!
