These Wrist guards at first glance appear to be good quality and ready to handle your protective needs! And at $39.99 on Amazon, they are a great alternative to Ennui City Brace.

Nice! Cool to see you still making videos and I wanted to say thanks for those tips for Razors Cults about cutting out the UFS receiver T-nut shape in the cardboard footbed thing. Completely changed the game with that skate for me! I tell everyone about that trick now and to give Cults a chance. Keep 'em coming!

I'm super pumped to find these. I used to do aggressive skating back in the late 90's and had the Pawns and loved those things. I didn't skate for a long time and I ended up losing those and some really nice soft shell Harbinger kneepads. I've gone out and done some recreational skating in the past few years, and I'm out of shape and not nearly as sure-footed on skates as I used to be. I was really missing my Pawns because I didn't want to fall and skin up my hands. I'm going to order a set of these things.

These look so nice and I'm glad to see these on the market, I'm just a little skeptical of any wrist guard that doesn't have a splint on the inside. Also, I'm surprised your Ennuis have lasted you five years! I've been using mine for just a month or two and have already started tearing them up, but I'm rough on gloves. You mentioned Harbingers: I got really lucky and found a pair of those from the '90s (the full wristguard/wrap style) for $7 on marketplace. Those lasted me way longer than the Hillbilly gloves I had before those. We'll see how long the City Brace lasts. Who knows, maybe these will be next.

These Rook seem to be pretty solid a d comparable quality to Ennui. My Ennui have lasted this long because, like I mentioned, I use them only when I am concerned or my wrist is bothering me. I also tried some Seba braces a few years back. And those were not too bad either.

Hey man! I’m actually the owner of this company. Little known fact, the “under splint” is there to help you slide when you land on your hands so you aren’t taking the brunt of the impact to your joint. It’s not as important as you would think. The top brace is the one that is preventing your wrist from bending in the direction of the break. Paired with the double wrap strap, the top brace and strap should have you easily covered. The original Pawns had that double wrap strap as an additional measure to prevent wrist breakage since alot of their gloves had no splints whatsoever. It is designed to sit higher on your wrist and limit mobility as an additional measure to avoid breakage. I hope this helps answer your question or at least quell your concerns!

@@sleevejobskmc I appreciate your response! That's a good point about the top brace. I just bought some City Braces recently but as I said, I'm really rough on wrist guards. I'll give these a try when it's time to replace them.
