Had to replace an injured Kareem, AT CENTER and got the dub AND Finals MVP. This man and Bird saved the NBA from bankruptcy, appreciate so so many things Magic has done for the game of basketball💯

Idk why Kobe gets more shine than Magic. This dude competed in 9 finals over 12 seasons in the post merger NBA, and is the best scoring point guard with Oscar. He has the perfect basketball body and he's tough as hell to guard. Plus this dude won an NCAA title and NBA title back to back that will never happen again. Dude is one of the best legends in the NBA.

How come Kobe blew it in 2004 and 2008 and couldn't get out of the first round without Gasol/Jackson? How come Magic and Kareem got swept in the finals TWICE together, fully healthy? Literally no player has ever done it by themselves and y'all expect Lebron to for no reason. Always moving the goalpost for what is and isn't incredible basketball. Lebron led both teams in steals and assists that series you stupid fuck. Only reason Mavs ever gonna be remembered by anyone is because of people like you who care more about when Lebron loses than anything else.

I don't think a rookie will ever do that again. Amazing. For those too young to remember, this was in the dark days of the NBA, when games were on tape delays. But Magic (and later Bird) would bring the NBA back to life.

Kareem was real MVP of finals. Magic only for game 7. Media fell for Johnson's million-watt smile. They didn't have much love for Kareem, as they were intimidated by a black man who was far more intelligent than they were.

Anyone else here after watching Winning Time? Anyways, this game right here folks, is the greatest individual game of all time. He was a rookie. In the NBA Finals. Playing against an outstanding 76ers team. On the road, in a hostile Philly nonetheless. Without his best player/one of the greatest players at that specific time and of all time. Being a PG and jumping at Center. And to go off for 42-15-7 on extremely efficient shooting while making consistent impactful plays? It's essentially perfect given the scenario/variables.

The story line sounds better then the actual performance, all i see is no defense easy layups, easy drives in the paint, easy fastbreak pts. . Remember this is the NBA finals. Absolutely no competition. Looks like playground basketball toying with kids.
