I live in Michigan and can tell you. Basically all of the roads in Michigan are horrible.

I live in Detroit an rather be here in my big truck then Atlanta, i75 from the border to Knoxville is horrific!!!

About the condition of the roads in Michigan: the annual freeze/thaw cycles and with kajillions of heavy vehicles on the roads make for bad roads. You can't keep those roads in perfectly smooth shape year after year. No one has the budget for that. There are quite a few roads, especially the farther north you go, that your truck are not allowed on during the thaw right after winter.

Was the DC called Kane Logistics? I used to load trucks there in Brownstown Michigan.

I have noticed that you don’t visually look for no-gap between fifth wheel and trailer, or check to make sure lock jaws are around king pin, or perform tug test when connecting to trailer. I have been driving trucks for 10 years and have witnessed drivers dropping trailers because of this. Also check your trailer lifts up slightly when connecting to trailer. I haven’t seen you do this on your videos so far. I would hate for this to happen to any driver…be safe and good luck 👍

Michigan roads are horrible due to the freeze thaw, over use of salt, the highest gross truck weight in the country at 164k lbs, and 2 decades of corruption of lowest bidder construction and maintenance contracts. The current governor ran on a campaign of 'fix the damn roads' and they have been trying but the concentration has been on bigger road infrastructures issues mainly bridges where over 10% were deficient due to lack of maintenance.

Check engine light is always on.
