Your water damage was the only thing that really mildly infuriated me.

I have a mildly infuriating story I wanna share. I live in a bottom floor apartment. When it rains, it floods on the sidewalk by our window. I guess there's a pipe leak underground because our bedroom started flooding *in the middle of the floor* . We called maintenance. After 3 days of it spreading, constantly soaking it up with towels, our dryer going constantly to keep drying it, maintenance finally installed a water pump by our window to soak up the water. AND THEY PLUGGED IT IN TO OUR PATIO, where we pay for electricity on our own. Like they crawled down into our private patio while we were gone to plug it in to our aoartment. So our power bill was crazy high from our dryer and the pump. Mildly infuriating, right? But that's not all. It stops raining, but we are still trying to soak up all the water the flooded in for another two weeks. Its finally dry, but now it smells moldy. We also have guinea pigs and I don't want their stupid fragile bodies getting sick. So we call maintenance, show them the problem, and they tell us they'll have someone come clean our carpets. They call me 3 days later "where are you?" I'm at work. "The cleaner needs to be let in" Well I'm at work... "You knew we hired a cleaner" But I didn't know when he would come??? Anyway, he goes in, cleans, leaves. I get home and he cleaned one small strip of the carpet BY THE WINDOW. Nowhere near where I showed the maintenance guy the problem was. And we cleaned our room spotless so the cleaner could get to the area. He moved my stuff out if the window area so he could clean where the flooding DIDNT happen. We call maintenance and they tell us "well we didn't know where the problem was" YES YOU DID BC I SHOWED YOU *AND* I HAD TO FILL OUT A DETAILED MAINTENANCE REQUEST THAT SAID IT. Anyway, cleaner came back and fixed it but I'm paying $1100 a month for a 2bed 1bath for this crap. 😂 mildly infuriating.

The vinyl record thing bothered me because I had a similar thing years ago, but with a CD. One of my fave bands released a special edition of their new album, which came in a collector's edition tin with the band's autographs, some art cards, etc as well as the CD. I was excited to get it, but when it arrived in the post, I heard such a loud crash as the mailman delivered it. I opened it, and it turned out that he fucking wangdoodled it so hard through my door that the CD came out of it's case and had got smacked against the side of the tin it was in, scratching the middle of it to hell. I tried to listen to it, but half of the album was completely ruined and wouldn't play. So I spent extra money on buying this special edition, and then had to go out and buy the regular version of the album on top so that I could actually listen to the damn thing.
