+Uncle Screw to be fair, i think anyone who experiences a migraine with an aura (the sensation he describes is called an Aura) has the thought that their brain has just given up and death is near. Luckily, it's just a really awful side effect of migraines

Its not an aura. The first time i had a migraine the exact same thing happened to me. I couldnt read or write, not becasue of an aura, ive had migraines with auras since then, but my brain couldn't function to translate what i was thinking to my mouth or hand. Somebody would ask me a question, i knew the answer but i couldn't form it into words. The right half of my body was starting to go numb also, i honestly thought i was having a stroke. It just turns out that the first migraine a person has can have that kind of effect.

That makes me severely doubt that migraines are benign or not stroke-related. It sounds more like 'a guy has a stroke and then gets blinding, indescribably painful headaches'
