Hello and welcome back to theHunter: Call of the Wild! In today's episode we head back to Revontuli Coast for some sweet, sweet revenge. Ever since I was a wee lad, those overgrown crap sacks called "canadian geese" have made wearing sandals in the summer a living hell. They leave those nasty little green turds everywhere, and I KNOW you know the feeling when you step on one at the beach and it gets between your toes. But don't fret my friends, for the Rooster hath cometh to bring us into a new world. A world with slightly less honking demons in it. So come forth in rejoice with me as I drop them out of the sky! Oh and I dropped a few ducks to.

I think sometimes when you either spook geese or they aren’t coming into your decoys/a need zone then they just become unable to be shot or spotted, since sometimes you can actually see them loading in and become able to be spotted and lured into the decoys

@@Rooster_Gaming might wanna note tho that if you were hunting those ducks/geese right where you spotted those whitetail in their zone then there’s a good chance you deleted that zone, but seeing as there were deer all over it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Geese have flight paths and ranges in this game too. So if you saw him in a location, odds are you will again. I would suggest setting up decoys.

At around 23.00 CotW pulls off one of this hilarious surprises - like shooting 3 deer (with 3 crap shots) from different herds/drink zones and find them 300m away all dead together within 10 metres of each other. Or hooning along on the ATV and finding a corpse just lying by the road from something you could not find hours earlier. Hard to top that Goose falling out of the sky though.

Hahaha yup. They attacked my grandfathers truck once and put a big ass dent in it. Those wings are STRONG. You on the east coast? I grew up in upstate NY, about 30 minutes south of the border. Also, I'm absolutely playing prehistoric hunt next week!

@@Rooster_Gaming sometimes this game can be so fustrating Just a few days ago i tried to get some bison on silver ridge peaks with my 7mm one was perfectly broadside i took the shot and the 7mm bullet didn't gone thru the skin there was nothing in its way but it Just hit the skin that covers its lungs

Birds do leave disturbed vegetation, but if they're geese/ducks don't bother attempting to track them. Birds are difficult to track, so keep the disturbed vegetation and the latest tracks highlighted if it is a rare and attempt to find a need zone. As for geese/ducks that you can't spot... they're just too far away, even if they're in render distance. You can spot and shoot at a goose for example and it can fly out of spotting range to where you can no longer spot them. But they are actual flocks in your game that you can hunt.

Rooster, my wife used to call them Canadian Geese and would ask her how she knew whether it was born in Canada or in America. She would give me a blank look and I would remind her that they are Canada Geese, not Canadian Geese 😂😂😂

The 7mm is a pretty powerful gun but after the moose great one update moose are a lot tougher and even will keep running a bit from a heart shot

The strategy I use is I go to the island at the bottom of the map, chose a body of water, then consolidate 20 decoys of each duck species on the map. I use only male decoys so they stack better. The ducks will land near the decoys and always in the same general spot near the decoys.

Hunting stand is the best blind and the callers aren’t really needed. I never use them and get loads of ducks

As a duck hunter I would say this is not very accurate the way the shot gun reloads the rang of the 20 gauge the way he shoot’s no lead but still fun to watch

i have any issues with the cotw companion app.... i ended up getting the COtW guide app and have found it to be way more accurate...for your golden eye in the guide app it shows diamond as 1230.. hope this helps

that thing with the birds being not real happens ALOT! even times when i spot it while its flying, swtich to a gun and the birds glitched and you cant kill it. I fixed it a couple times by spotting a different animal and quickly look back and they become real lol

The birds that appear buggy are real it's just like a coding thing that makes them not spot able until the group is broken which I think is by setups but I'm not 100% sure

In regards to the phantom goose, it could be one of two things, too far out of range to spot, or ambience,. If the latter, I agree it's silly to have ambience of an animal that you're able to hunt in game.

Hey I don’t play HCOTW but I do duck hunt and from what from what Ik about it from watching it it’s pretty realistic so the best thing to do would probably be put all ur decoys in the water unless they’re the ones made for land or unless ur in a field which u would probably still want the ones for land so put all ur decoys in the water, use calls and use a duck blind not a tree stand😂

Piebald is counted as common for Mallards. They really are common for that species. Also the 12g with six rounds is really good once you unlock it.

For me, I've gotten 3 or 4 diamond mulies on silver ridge. But I've heard people say they are struggling to get them. But what I've seen and heard from others as well, wildebeest are the easiest. Like I've seen level 3s be potential. It also helps that vurhonga is super open, they drink in massive groups, and have a good drink time
