Your hair is stunning. I simply do not have the time to style my hair curly anymore. I work in healthcare and I have to wash my hair often. It’s such a bummer. I miss my curls.

Did you try plopping? I have to start work really early in the morning. But with plopping i can get beautiful curls without much effort.

If you dong want to use a scalp massager, you can use a pick. Thats what they are made for.

If the deva curl root clips are too expensive I found some really similar clips at walmart, it was a pack of 30 for like less than $3. Hope this helps!!

Just love your curls! They are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I don’t think I would ever have those kind of curls (darn!). I wish I had them. My hair is growing out from a pixie and my hair is about 2-2 1/2 inches long. It’s hard to have it so short. But I know each day it will get better. Thank you for all your videos!

I use 1 huge clip, bobby pins, and clips at the dollar store and my curls are fly and HUGE!

Great content as always 🙏🧡 It would be interesting to get your tips on other curlies to follow, for different hairtypes. I have a hard time finding curlies-tips for ”typical” scandinavian hair, i.e light brown, fragile, frizzy, dry haha. Although following the curly girl method has really given life back to my hair that I used to put heat on every day..

I agree with Janelle that this method is better done with dry hair for people with more fine and fragile curls. If it’s wet, the stress of the pulling and stretching in the process of root lifting seems to increase breakage. Whereas when dry, the hair is stronger for this purpose.

MEMORIES71922 I don’t know if you’ll see this, but you could use tiny, mini claw clips in a color as close to your hair as possible. I saw a video here on KZfaq that showed a woman who did that and she would just hide tiny claw clips in her hair and leave them! It’s genius! Lol

I can see where waiting until your roots are setting and lifting the hair in decent sized pieces work ..I seem to have way more volume in my next day hair after having my hair pineappled…gonna try this clipping method

My hair is so heavy, they flop...so I have to make sure I slide them in touching my scalp and it works so much better.

Stanka Kordic my hair is so fine that if I clip them in wet, they will start sliding down the shaft. From my scalp to about 1-2 in. down the shaft, my hair’s straight, and the rest is curly. So wat I’m trying to do, is create come curl there in order to add volume to the rest of my hair! Thanks mom and dad for creating a 1/2 French 1/2 Mexican-Jamaican mixed chick. My hair is super confused. 😂🙈

What technique is there for a busy mom of 2 toddlers and a 9 year old? Very thick and curly wiry red hair 🙃. Just can’t rush through so many steps and products used. Advice?

Thanks for the video on clips. Its always so hard to figure out which way will give the most height on top. Unrelated but, have you ever used a Denman brush? I've seen some great results from other KZfaqrs. (I'm waiting for my to arrive in the mail.)

Ann Goodman I haven’t tried the denman brush! I’ve thought about trying it just for fun but my guess is it wouldn’t work amazing for me because my hair doesn’t even like me raking through it

I’m going to try the clipping but your hair texture is very different than mine. If I fluffed like that my hair would look like a ball of yarn after 10 cats played with it. Can you say frizzy?

It honestly depends on the day. I don't really have one product that addresses all my needs. Leave ins I think are the most diverse and important. I think they can make or break a good washday. Lately i have been obsessed with Cachos Brazil Rio Mist & W2Naturals Gorgeous Collection Leave in.

Yes! The devaclips are a bit wider but I get pretty identical results with the ones from Sally’s.

Brittany Pate look up pin curl clips. DevaCurl discontinued theirs. No idea why 🤷🏻‍♀️ I sometimes also use metal alligator clips. They’re just a longer version of these

Hi, Jeannie. I found one at the Dollartree store a few months ago, but if they don't have it anymore, Amazon has them for sure. The packaging labeled it as a Spa Comb, so perhaps that will help you in the search. Positive vibes and curl on!

I kind of trained my part over to the side and now it just falls there for the most part naturally. I don't do anything with it until its dry and at that point I only typically move a curl or two to make it deeper.

The reviews on the scalp massager are a little scary. Last thing mine needs is anything scratching it.

jenallday yes it can be hit or miss because it is a completely plastic product. Bed bath and beyond often carries the Therawell scalp massager which I haven’t heard of having those issues the issue is just if they carry them! It’s a fairly new product to the market so not super easy to find.

I asked my stylist to pick some up for me at her beauty supply store. Apparently they are discontinued and if there are any in stock they are extremely overpriced. They were trying to charge $45 for one package. I don't know how many are in the package, but that's ridiculous.

Lala, Amazon sells the same clips from various sellers for much less than the ones she used in the video. I agree that brand names aren't necessarily the best.
