Hello please I'm having a problem when depending to cross the knot. Each time I want to cross over after changing from my ascender to decender my Hand juma is always very far up. What should I do ?

shouldn't you have more than one back up device on you?

Yes. Like a red or something. Could be another back up. But yes you should have another back up on your gear

He forgot to lock the descender on descent and doing the change over = 1 minor.

@@PedroHernandez-ls4ij it’s impossible for you to move the ID down the rope because of the knot
@jordanpearson4824

Why bother putting the id on during the ascent when you've already disconnected your handled ascender and put it above the knot. Either put the id on first, or disregard your safety and don't do it at all.

Apparently, you must be unaware of how to do this procedure correctly. 2 points of contact are maintained. Croll and ASAP. Moving the hand ascender above the knot does not break TWO POINTS OF CONTACT in this video demonstration! >:I

Apparently you did not watch the video and see what they did vs what they said.

Read your manual on how to use the Croll and Hand Ascender, dear. -_- You're just indicating you don't know how this equipment works.

You ARE NOT dropping, and you are STATIONARY! Moving your hand ascender above the knot in this situation is limited to NO RISK! What has been demonstrated in this video is in line with proper safety procedure!

You've all missed the fact that you need TWO points of contact at all times. He immediately disobeys this rule by moving the handled ascender above the knot leaving only the croll as his point of contact during this movement. If he had have put the ID on first then moved the handled ascender he would have obeyed the two points of contact rule
