Rope Access Window Placement - Putting in a CURVED window

Another day in the books. Placing these curved window with rope access methods is challenging. Today I have real long video. I took my old Gopro so I could film more. This way you get about an half hour of actual work on film. Use the chapters to check the different stages and see what happens in the heat of the "battle". Make a quick pulley system here, adjust this rope over there, look at what's happening and give input where needed. A LOT of improvising Fun times!

Well, I would not say out of content haha. Probably more like I need to post more than twice a week. 66 videos in 6 months ain't bad and there are still about 60/70 video's on my "to film" list and that list is not getting any shorter haha. I'm just a one man band and I need to actually do some real work. TRAC is a side gig and producing 2 a week is challenging already. Good times though. I'm having a blast👍🏻. So thank you for the idea's however those are already on the list😉😉. Btw, if you have any more, please share and I will add it if I feel it wil add value to the channel. Always looking to keep growing that "to film" list 👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻

@@AlexBuiter "Out of content" for me i should say. As for the "one man band" i understand what you mean. No complaints.Since your content is specialized and not some stupid/fail/funny videos stuff it will take time. You know how it is in the YT world we want to consume!!!Never mind the subscribers we always whine for more. PS i watched this video 2 years ago and now that i've watched it again since i came here from the TRAC it was like deja vu!Keep up the good work For the time being i am a Level 0 Rope Access Philosopher (with gear) so my ideas about content are limited 🤣

How to clean the rope after job that's a lot of cement

We didn't work with the cement so the ropes were relatively clean. If you can't clean just throw them away. I always calculate this in the price as well. It's just part of the work

It's not that hard once you get started. Do an IRATA course and start working. You'll learn a lot in the first years.

@@lindomar76 all depends on skill level and all the other competencies that might be useful (welding/NDT, etc). If you’re good you could travel the world 52 weeks a year

Wel leuk om te zien. Er bestaan ook kantbeschermers (edge corner guard) om het touw naast een touwbeschermer ook nog te beschermen. En dat is zeker niet overbodig: nofile.io/f/OKdX9CAUGdE/Touwbeschermers.mp4

Dank voor je comment. Dat filmpje ken ik ja. En die situatie is natuurlijk niet te vergelijken met deze werksituatie. Deze custom brandslang touwbeschermers winnen in dit geval al jaren van een houten randje. Ze zijn een stuk sterker dan die plastic Petzl dingen.

De situatie is inderdaad verschillend maar beide langs een scherpe rand. Als ik ga abseilen ga ik daarvoor met tape of lijm nog een goedkope strip kinderbescherming tussen doen: bit.ly/2EBux1s Daar zijn ook professionele onderdelen voor op de markt maar die beginnen volgens mij bij €100,- en dat verschilt nogal met €2,01 Het gaat echt om het verschuiven langs zo'n scherpe hoek langs de breedte van het touw. Natuurlijk doe ik ook nog een touwbeschermer ertussen maar zo'n brandslang is inderdaad ook een goede tip.

Arnold vd M Als dat van die rubberen strips zijn, dan heb ik daar geen goede ervaringen mee. Zeg maar, rubberen strip doorgeschuurd en de brandslang die eroverheen lag geen krasje. Als we echt scherpe randen tegen komen maken we mooie stalen hoeklijsten profielen en brengen die aan, of zoals de ICOP adviseert, indien mogelijk leiden we het touw om zodat de rand helemaal niet geraakt wordt. Dat voorbeeld van de klimmer die om een hoekversnijding op gritstone een enorme voorklimmersval maakt in een EN892 touw is echt niet te vergelijken met een dubbellijns EN1891 system in een tested and tried brandslang touwbeschermer met een statische belasting. Als je met een mooi voorbeeld wilt komen, moet je even een Petzl test opzoeken van een semistatisch touw op een betonnen rand. Volgens mij was het 5 keer heen en weer over een cm of 15 met een ropetech erin en toen was t touw al door. Nogmaals bedankt voor je comment hoor, en don’t worry we denken er wel over na 😜👍🏻

Gelukkig denken en doen jullie wat aan de veiligheid. Van wat voor materiaal het is zou ik niet weten maar ik gok dat het inderdaad iets van Polyetheen of rubber is. Wat voor touw het is waar hij mee viel zou ik niet weten of het een dynamisch klimtouw (EN892) is. Hij had ook géén helm, kniebeschermers of enige andere bescherming. Van alleen de zwiep had hij hersenbeschadiging of verbrijzelde knieën aan over gehouden. In die opzichten inderdaad totaal niet te vergelijken. Ook heb ik inderdaad iets van die vergelijkingen gezien: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sNN5m8xoq8_Fe6s.html In alle gevallen komt het wel doordat het touw verschuift. Het schijnt zelfs in de lengterichting na ongeveer 150 verschuivingen van Beal en 50 verschuivingen van Mammut te kunnen: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jL2RfLSZqtu0lKc.html Het gaat er ook om waar op welk punt je hangt, een mantelverschuiving is genoeg. Beal heeft ook dynamische Unicore maar is ook vreselijk duur en niet te vergelijken met statische touwen.
