the actor should’ve stayed, i honestly think that tristan & rory would have that type of relationship that goes from enemies to lovers book type. i miss him being on the show now that i’m rewatching it. but one tree hill is good too but still he should’ve stayed 🙁.

He was just let down by the people around him, that’s why he always acted out. But we all know if he was given the chance he would have done anything for Rory

K so hear me out. Tristan always liked bad girls and always wanted bad girls. But he didn’t really LIKE them. He liked being seen with them, and being associated with them. He had never really really liked a girl until Rory. He felt like he had to be a jerk to be cool and keep his profile. That kiss that he had with her was probably his first kiss that meant something and wasn’t for show or for fun. He honestly felt bad about giving her a hard time and he realized that he wasn’t being the nicest. He even said he was sorry. And the way he would smile at her was insane. Around the other girls like summer, he just acted like a “bad boy”. He actually looked heartbroken when he saw Rory kiss dean outside of the school after they hadn’t been together for a while. He felt like she betrayed him again. Tristan was always in love with Rory. When he said he didn’t like Paris and said he liked someone else, he was talking about Rory. Not summer. After they kissed and Rory started crying, he actually felt bad. You could see it in his expression. Also after they kissed, Tristan didn’t bug Rory anymore. He was genuinely kind. And he actually enjoyed the kiss when he said it was just cuz of summer. At the end when he had to leave for military school, he said “goodbye Mary” and Rory blushed. Tristan loved Rory, but she took it for granted.

In One Tree Hill, they wanted him to play a bad guy named Nathan because at the beginning of that show the guy was mean and not treating girls right but he said that he wanted to play Lucas because he can relate to that character since he was abandoned by his mom at 10 years old and had to help his father take care of his siblings.

Okay this is going to be extremely poorly received, but I honestly don’t think Tristan was intended to be anything other than what the show made him out to be. Rory’s relationships were all very long and committed, and all of the guys she dated were extremely present in her life and our experience with the show as viewers. Tristan was one of the first boys who showed interest in her aside from Dean, and the way the two boys acted toward her was very different, Tristan posited as the antithetical plot line in her life. The way he showed his feelings for her was toxic and yes, he was immature and insecure, but he was not the kind of boy that Rory would have dated. Their kiss at the party just proved that, as she was in a terrible place after the events with Dean, and she kissed him just to see if she would like it and have interest in that kind of relationship, as she felt that what she had with Dean wasn’t working out. The longterm relationships in her life, while all very different from each other, all had one thing in common- they showed Rory respect, which was one of the main things that she craved, and one of the themes intertwined throughout the show. Tristan did not show her that respect. Tristan’s character was invented for the purpose of showing that Rory would not date boys like him. He does have more in common with Logan than any other boy she’d dated, but her relationship with Logan began once she was in college and was more mature. Logan also treated her with respect, which Tristan did not and would not have. Tristan was rich, and while Logan was as well, the latter was not interested in that kind of life, while Tristan was. His and Rory’s “chemistry” is not only deniable but nonexistent. His taunts were not well-received by Rory, and though she did show him interest and kindness in a few scenes, it was while she was still affected from Dean’s heartbreak. I will agree that Tristan’s very brief involvement in Rory’s life was a major part in her self-discovery and maturing, but this was only because she realized that one thing she knew for sure was that a relationship with him was not in her best interests.

I feel like the only reason why he “wanted” Rory was because he knew she wasn’t easy she didn’t just throw herself at him! He just wanted to prove that he could get her. She was work! If she was easy like every other girl I don’t think he we would be interested in her!
