Mrs Brown's Boys isn't going to be the same without him now. He is a great actor. They should bring him back

I was just getting caught up on Mrs. Brown on KZfaq and discovered you had left the show! Thank you for explaining it to us. I’m so very sad that I won’t see you playing that part because that was my favorite. You were just amazing. I thank you because you must be a wonderful man in “real life” whatever that is. Putting your Mother first is important. I lost my Mom when she was 62 and now that’s how old I am. I wish you much happiness in wherever life takes you. You could always make me laugh when you got tickled on the show and broke character. You are awesome.

I can think of no more honorable reason for leaving the show then to take care of your own mother as well as that it is time to move on, may the good lord bless and keep Rory Cowan and his family

Great interview Rory. Good luck for the future on new projects. Bet those 26 fantastic years with Brendan O'Carroll & the team were 100% entertainment. As they say "As one door shuts a new one opens" (meaning: A new project / job is close by) Glad that there was no hard feelings or fallings out with Brendan. You made a fantastic Rory Brown over the 26 years.

You did a great job, Rory, you will be greatly missed. But remember that with any mother specially Mrs Brown her boys will always be her boys. 😘 Enjoy your future endeavours well done 👏👏😘

What an intelligent man, so perceptive to understand that he was not best suited to play that character anymore. The depiction of a gay man as a mincing camp queen is so outdated.
@billhamilton23663 жыл бұрын
May be outdated but true......Manly men aren't gay. There is something screwed up in these peoples heads not quite retarded but almost. And of course they want to shove their agenda down everybody's throats.. (figuratively speaking ) Ha
@obiwankenobi6873 жыл бұрын
@@billhamilton2366 there are tonnes of manly men who are gay 🤣 Russel Tovey, Jonathan Bailey, Andrew Hayden Smith, Ricky Martin, Matt Bomer, Luke evans, Max Parker, Andrew Scott, mark e Miller, Luke mcfarlane, victor garber, wentworth Miller, Zachary Quinto, Steven Flynn etc. etc. many many many more there’s just countless manly gay men who could quite easily beat me up. The camp stereotype reflects the minority

Nothing wrong with leaving to care for your mother, more people should be this thoughtful. As for getting too old to play a “boy”, or that Mrs Brown’s suns are no longer “boys”, just ask your own mother. You will always be your mother’s boy, no matter what your age. Miss you on the show, but you did what was right. Best of luck.

I’m heartbroken and devastated with your decision but understand completely. I have had my biggest and longest laughs watching yours and Brendans interactions and I would like to wish you much love luck and happiness with whatever you do next.

Airwipe I'm happy for you, Rory, but your MBB fans are going to miss you terribly. I have my favorite bits saved to watch when I need a good laugh or to turn someone new on to the show, & you're in so many of those clips! Always loved it when you'd crack up, like with the Venice bit with Agnes. Best wishes, & I hope to see you in something new here & there. I know you'll sleep easier knowing you'll be close to your mum when she needs you.

As loved as this character was, It will be impossible for any “ new Rory” to really fill his shoes, no matter how good an actor he may be. So I feel badly at how rough that must be for the new guy and how some people are making rude remarks. (I always thought grand dad looked younger than Mrs.Brown looked!) ....But as it is make believe and very funny regardless,I do not see what the actors real life age has to do with anything. But, I respect this man for putting his family first. Also,The way Rory was played fits the humor for time period of the show and it would not even make sense to change one characters personality or situation to the present way of popular thinking, as it is not a political show. Maybe “Rory’s” character could have gone abroad or something where he is referred to but not actually there in person.( and maybe this guy could have a cameo now and again?) ...Hard shoes to fill for sure
