Back in -72 73 Rory played in Washington DC when he had days off from touring he would play this little club called My Mothers Place . Many great came through those door like Roy Buchanan & Link Wray. Saw him there in March twice & once in 75 also in DC at the know defunct but famous club The Bayou. What a gracious man he has that love the crowd & the music he loved to play along with his own greats. It was a privilege for myself as a still learning guitarist . Saw some of the greats back in the 70's like the original Allman Brothers & the late great Terry Kath . These along with Rory took me on the path to play as they did with conviction & the passion that music took anyone that was lucky enough to have been around in those awesome days. Like them my teacher drove one of the most important things any player should know , be yourself no matter how much toy want to emulate your heroes. Lessons well learned just as Rory Terry & those in their caliber did . We miss them all Jimi as well.

Rory and Steve were gifted and amazing and the insights of the book showcase the immense power Rory held in Ireland; the fighting/bombing and killing in Belfast would stop for ONE NIGHT and that's because Rory came to town to jam and no one really cared about their religion or politics anymore, they just wanted to rock out with their favorite son.
