I love that little growly bark! Skye, our three-year old Westie does something similar, moving his jaw, almost like he’s trying to talk, and huffing slightly. Occasionally he’ll add a little bark. He’s a smiler too, and it is just the cutest! Love the terriers!❤ They fill my heart with joy!

Fond memories of a scottie we had years back......the most memorable being when he robbed my fathers false teeth and started doing zoomies around the garden with them in his mouth...😆😆😆

My first scottie did this clacking. It was part of his "talking". My second scottie doesnt do it at all. He's a groaner and sigher. They all have their little ways

My first Scottie, Jameson, would snap her jaws all the time! That's hysterical!!

All my Scotties clicked their teeth when they were happy and wanted me to know. And he does Howlie-Growlies too. He sounds ferocious but he wants to play. They make these noises with their littermates as communication. How tough is to rough and just I want to play. The way to tell if the noises mean a threat is by watching the ears go totally pinned back .

Might have a long pass but, this reminds me of my Scotty, Smitty and he would do the same little snap with his teeth sometimes and I forgot about that and so I saw the video. 🥺 This was hilarious and brought back a lot of good memories. Smitty was my everything it was just as goofy. Thank you for sparking a memory that I almost forgot.❤️✌️
