You felt those Arabic influences because they occupied parts of Spain for 8 centuries, therefore things like our language, culture and traditions have ties to theirs. Flamenco is no exception

Flamenco is very influenced by arabic and african sounds. In Los Angeles Rosalía reaches a more “pure” flamenco, although the guitar’s arrangements are not so flamenco

That's right. Raül Refree, producer and guitarist in "Los Ángeles", had no conexion with flamenco. He had to adapt his way of producing and playing to make this album with Rosalía. The same thing that El Guincho would have to do later in "El mal querer".

Gurrrlllll. I'd love an album review!!! you definitely should include the live version of this song in there, Rosalia - De Plata (Directo Sevilla), and also react to "La Hija De Juan Simon" she performed a cappella for Vogue. Both performances I find to be honestly the best from her to date. Absolutely breathtaking! There's actually no "original" songs included in Los Angeles, each track is a combination of a few beautiful & traditional flamenco songs, all of them compilated, fusion and tied together by the common theme of the album, which is death. All that is actually what I think makes it interesting and turns it into a gorgeous piece of art! Totally worth the check!
