I lost count how many times I've made this, and I'm still loving it! But I found out by whisking the heavy cream just a bit (not when it's fluffy, but just about getting there, so it's still a bit of liquid) before adding it to the egg mixture with the vanilla, it changes the texture of the ice cream to a more creamer consistency.

Fun Fact: The ice cream from the game is actually based on ice cream from Tokyo DisneySea. Some of the developers loved it so much they wanted it to have a really big part in the game, but Nomura had to tone it down. It still was a huge thing though, as we can see. Another fun fact: I tried to make some once, but I had to change the recipe a bit to take out the dairy for my sister and they turned out absolutely awful. Coconut milk and sea salt don't mix. I really wanna try and make them again though, with no substitutions.

Unfortunately they don’t have it at the park anymore. At least as of 6 years ago or so when I lived there and went to Disney often. The closest thing is in the Little Mermaid zone they have a sea shell monaka shaped berry flavor sea salt ice cream. It’s pretty yummy but if you want the KH experience for now the best way is to do it yourself unfortunately. Oh forgot to mention there are plenty of other good places to find sea salt ice cream though! If anybody ever visits Kokusai-dori in Okinawa there is an awesome salt store there somewhere and they make ice cream. Mind blowing!

I HAVE to make these for my brother. We both love Kingdom Hearts and we're always curious what the sea salt ice cream tasted like. Now I can make these. :) I think I'm gonna make some keyblade candy molds to make little candy keyblades to put in the popsicles.

They can, however they are called frozen custard, not ice cream though.

+calamitasCorvus isn't gelato just the italian word for ice cream... I think sorbet would be without any milk or egg products and ice cream with cream/milk. I have never heard of frozen custard, it's probably not a thing in my country. But at least our eggs can be eaten raw, I can imagine people seeing this as a problem in this recipe.

The funny thing is I'm a huge fan of kingdom hearts and know a lot about the series but I don't own a single game. I'm planning of getting one of the games but I'm not sure which yet.

Get 1.5 (It comes with the first 3 games-for PS3 tho) Or in March you can get 1.5+2.5 (PS4) Which has the first six games, in a week or so 2.8 is also coming out so yeah ^^

if you wait till march, you can get the 1.5 + 2.5 collection and get everything. then if you're up to it, 2.8 comes after everything as the last collection of games leading up to kingdom hearts 3 next year!
