The series where we saw Giovanni grow up. Compassion, patience, kindness and all while taking his humour with him. It shone through

This was a piece of art that literally made you stop and understand completely how it is to live as somebody else.

There are two types of good Couple's Choice. The first is the style of Bill Bailey where you play into the celebrity's strengths and get them doing something technically challenging which really shows them off. The second is this. Using the dance to express the person. The dancing in almost silence was amazing, but the moment before that was even more important. Rose covered Giovanni's ears and then, for the first time in the series, led him. She invited him into the sound of her world. And it wasn't sad or dramatic. She kept smiling - her world is happy and she can dance! Giovanni is a genius with this choreography, and Rose nailed it. A few technical bits like Craig said, but I can't wait to see this dance get the 40 it deserves in the final.

This was extraordinary. The way she managed to show what it was like to be deaf, was one of the unique features of a dance ever. This showed that deaf people can do anything. Rose is a real CONTENDER! The choreography was unbelievable, and she nailed it. This was one of the best contemporary dances on Strictly. My score: 10

I remember watching this the first time and crying when the music cut out. I still get choked up now. The fact that "couple's choice" has evolved into a dance piece that tells the story of the celeb's life is beautiful, and I think this is one was SO wonderfully done, in every element.

I've watched strictly for many years,this is by far the best dance in all years I've watched

I started to lose my hearing when I was 26 I loved dancing. I can’t listen to music anymore. I didn’t realise that the music stopped for a while In this until someone told me. Watching this made me cry. I am much older now. I loved this totally she so beautiful In every way. I think she is amazing and so is he. Very beautiful and moving.❤️

Rose has brought such a lovely side of Gio out this year, the way he looks at her 😩😩 this was absolutely beautiful and like he said, the scores don’t really matter for this dance as it was the representation what mattered. i was in tears thankyou rose for sharing your story with us x

a very special young lady, changing the landscape for the deaf community, deserves all the plaudits she gets along with Gio who has embraced her world and created the most amazing dances.

I never usually enjoy Couple's Choice (I can count the ones I love on one hand) but this was something else. Rose and Giovanni's partnership is one of the most special I've ever seen on this show, and this dance, narratively, emotionally, and in terms of performance, was absolutely stunning. I'm sure it'll be reprised in the final and will get a deserved 40.

I don't mind admitting that I sobbed during this dance, then again when Rose thanked Gio before they got their scores. This is absolutely history in the making and I'm so glad I've been here to watch it.

I've never seen a piece of dance quite as moving as that (certainly not on Strictly). I've watched it twice now and I'm not ashamed to say; I have cried both times. Beautiful, impactful , thought provoking... that righ there is art in it's purest form. A brilliant partnership and my favourite dance on the show, ever.

I have loved every routine Rose & Giovanni have done but seriously, this was on another level. I bet everyone who watched it had a little cry, I know I did.

This was the most magnetic dance and I absolutely adore them as a pairing. Their relationship , respect and trust is unparalleled in my opinion. As much as I highly agree she deserved a 40, I respect Craig for judging her as an equal and not scoring a ten just because she’s deaf. Because that’s why she’s on the show, to be seen as an equal. It proves he doesn’t see her for her disability, but for her dancing. At least, that’s what I took from it. My winners, have been since week one. X

This happened the same year I lost half my hearing to complications after covid. Rose was such an inspiration to me and helped me cope when I found myself in a very dark place and this performance still has me in tears of joy when I see it.

I'm so grateful Rose shared her world with us in this dance. It was absolutely stunning, and there was definitely not a dry eye in the house! This is an incredible way of utilising Couples' Choice, and I can't thank these two enough for giving us such a gorgeous story and routine ❤

I hold this dance close to my heart . Not only was it beautiful, it was the one of the last dances my grandad ever saw on strictly because after this week he died . I just always cry while watching it. But he said something to me . He said “This girls going to win” Damn was he right ❤❤❤

So many people will forget that in the silent section, nothing changed for Rose. Deaf awareness needs to be taugh to everyone. A hearing person will never understand the barriers they face in everyday life but we can try any break down some of those barriers. Rose on strictly has brought the deaf community to the centre stage and for that I will be eternally greatful!

I absolutely love Rose & Giovanni their so raw and beautiful they put so much emotion into their dances that it warms my heart I really hope I live long enough to see the final of this show iv made my first target my 21st but my chemo is making me so weak but these two give me the fight I need to make it through being totally deaf she made such a brave and bold decision to take part and her partnership with Gio is so sweet he's shown such a sensitive side since having Rose as a dance partner. I’m not ashamed to say I burst into tears watching this- it’s one of the most moving dances, well, pieces of art, I have even seen. Huge congratulations to Rose and Giovanni.

I know they have to make it a competition but this is what dance, music and art is about a powerful message that is more than words!

Its easily one of the dances in strictly history and my favourite of hers. All the lifts were beautifully done, it was fluid, it had so much narrative and story, the footwork was sharp and timing was there, it had grace, sensitivity, strength and emotion everything needed for a Contemporary. This is quite clearly couples choice done right and having it barefoot and silent and everything was sublime. The silent scene was one of the best moments in a strictly dance ive ever seen. I want this done in the final so it gets 40 and it makes me want to see their Showdance. Just mesmerising and Giovanni is amazing. *10/10* 💖💖💖😪😪😪

Sometimes you watch a dance and you just know that it will stay with you forever. Maybe it’s flawless like Danny’s Samba or hilarious like Ed’s Salsa. And maybe it’s so beautiful and moving that you just know you’ll never forget it. That was this dance. The most beautiful routine I have ever seen. Thank you, Rose and Gio.

A lot of the Couple's Choice routines this year have felt very awkward to me but this was absolutely beautiful, seeing both of them throughout the dance, especially when the silence dropped, it really took my breath away, this is one the dances I'm gonna remember for a long time.

I loved tonight's performance by Rose and Giovanni,it was so moving and emotional and dare I say emotive for those of us in the hearing community. It was beautiful. Can I just say I have NEVER seen Giovanni so emotional. I think this is the best he has ever choreographed. Dare I say he has found a woman of substance and has stepped up his game. They are great and the glitter ball is theirs to lose.

I have been watching Strictly come dancing for a long time, and this is the first time I cried whilst watching Rosie and Givani dance. What an emotional thought provoking routine it was? The minute the music stopped and they carried on dancing my heart just stopped and made me realise my God this is how Rosie is, that's her world and yet when she dances with such happiness and and confidence that we just forget she's deaf. Well done to Givani for choreographic a beautiful dance routine. I really want them to win, I think it's about time Givani won, the amount of times he's been in the final and runner up it's definitely his time to win now!! Rosi & Givani to win Aj & Kai runner up.

I think this dance is quite simply the best dance I have ever seen on Strictly. So emotional, so moving, such a testament to Rose and Gio. I hope Gio and Rose are really proud of themselves after this. Rose is really dispelling the myth that disability is a negative attribute - it’s simply different. From everything Gio has said he’s explained he’s learnt a lot from Rose. We can all learn from people who experience the world in a different way and this dance was a beautiful expression of that.

Honestly, I haven't kept up with Strictly in years; it felt over-commercialised and there just wasn't any draw for me. Then I saw this. I didn't know she was deaf, had no idea in fact which of the two was the professional, and watched without sound the first time. Even on second viewing, with sound, I didn't know professional from star or that the reason for the music cutting was to invite the audience into the world of a hard-of-hearing individual. Now on my countless watch through, knowing Rose is deaf and not a professional dancer, my heart skips a beat; it is a truly beautiful dance for a truly beautiful pairing and I am 100% in love. Rose has an infectious joy, Giovanni is such a wonderful instructor, they've both learned so much from each other and absolutely deserve to win on pure skill and talent. Perfection all round and has reignited my love for dance and Strictly

I have rewatched this so many times. I don’t watch strictly, I watch eastenders but I have watched every dance this season with rose because she is such an incredible woman. I suffered from hearing problems when I was a child and luckily had operations that helped me drastically. I think Giovanni is inspired and in awe of her pure honest and natural beauty in every way. I think after having very mainstream vain girlfriends etc he will see beauty in a much purer form from his interaction with rose. I feel like they are falling in love to be honest but even if not - she’s opening his mind to what matters and the pure beauty in her honesty and genuine amazing heart xx I will keep watching purely for these two AS A PAIR

Stunning, breathtaking, inspirational , the moment when the music stops and Rose covers Gio's ears and the perfect dancing whilst there was no music is SO emotional, I wish the BBC would show the intro's, the marking and the bits with Claudia, because the intro video and the bits with Claudia gave us more emotional stuff, Rose & Gio are the perfect couple, onwards and upwards to the Final and victory (hopefully)

this is so touching because rose is a girl with a disability that causes her to see the world so differently and when we got to be in her footsteps for a moment it was incredibly moving and heartfelt.

As a medium to educate all on diversity and accessibility, this was more powerful than words. This is art in its truest form.

This was sensational. Rose shared her experience in such a moving way. She seems like a sweetheart. She was so confident in this dance and she looked ecstatic to be dancing. Also, I feel like I saw a different side to Giovanni. He seemed more vulnerable and he was being led by Rose. They have a beautiful friendship and make a great dance duo.

Inspired by Rose , I have taught year 1 to year 6 (over 500 children) BSL to Silent Night ahead of the school carol service This week I was so moved by Rose’s and Giovani’s dance that I incorporated it into my key stage 2 lessons which are about dynamics this term. We discussed how powerful silence is as well as how the dance enabled Giovanni to experience dancing in the way Rose does. I showed the you tube clip from last week , then asked the children to work in groups on a song of their choice The only real instruction was that during the song , the melody had to be sung in their head , whilst the rest of their group carried on playing instruments. Some groups chose to have 2/3 singers making it more tricky to come back in together. I have been so amazed by this couple and they really have inspired my class music teaching. Would so love the school I work in to meet them Rose Ayling-Ellis you are an inspiration to so many people. X

I am not one that appreciates Couple's Choices, but this was beautiful. That silent part, I thought this is how all dances feel to her and then thought, no, that's how her life is to her. After their first ballroom Rose said that she hears the music through his body and a romantic in me thought if he does not fall in love then and there then he never will :D

Lots of people say Rose is amazing for a disabled person. As a disabled person I think she’s just amazing. She’s sweet, funny and an amazing dancer.

That was beautiful, she looked like a fairy that had decided to share dance and joy with a human. Has made me rethink not watching Strictly🤩😍
