I wanted to show how dominant, explosive and athletic Derrick Rose was before even coming to the NBA. This video includes highlights from his days at Simeon Career Academy (lllinois), AAU Basketball and college basketball at Memphis.

Im from Chicago an I witnessed so far Derrick rose whole career from highschool to the pros. The man is a Chicago legend. I'm just feeling nostalgic right now because basketball was so fucking great back then. From highschool to even college. NCAA basketball is so fucking terrible there's a new #1 every week. Back in the rose era with the super freshman coming into college an joining already establish teams it made NCAA basketball so compelling and great to watch.

@Leauma Alefosio the prep to pro rule changed in 2004, he didn’t finish HS until 2007, Unless he was going to jump from JR High to NBA, it was never going to happen. Besides, if he had gone straight prep to pro in 2007, that was the same year as Kevin Durant.
