Alabama has had plenty of really good edge rushing OLBs over the years. Can’t forget about people like Tim Williams, Courtney Upshaw, Anfernee Jennings, and Ryan Anderson. They might not have been the top 3 pick caliber of player, but they definitely were big time impact players for Alabama.

Nick Saban was sensational. I tip my hat off to him. The line in the next game is way too low. Washington should be more than a 3.5 point underdog. I took the Texas Longhorns -7.5 (+150) to cover over the Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl. I went very aggressive on that game. Good Luck & Happy New Year!@@GrayGamer

Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson are probably the best edge-rushers under Saban before Anderson Jr. and Turner, which is somewhat surprising when you consider Saban's dominance in recruitment!

The 2011 Bama defense has been the best in the modern era. Georgia was very good but not the best. In the 2011 National Championship game Bama allowed the opponent to cross the 50 yard line 1-time whom had been averaging 40 points per game! Think on that stat for a minute…. and which running back did Bama defend against and how many yards did he gain against the Bama defense?

Offenses were more dynamic in 2021 vs 2011 and college has gotten softer to prop up offenses....so I believe Georgia 2021 defense to be better. GO DAWGS

I’m a Michigan fan for over 30 years now, that was by far the worse coached game I’ve ever seen from Ohio State. I root for you guys out of conference especially against the SEC. I live in Florida and have heard about that embarrassing performance multiple times.

You don’t beat a focused Alabama team that’s an underdog, coming off a Georgia W if your mind is elsewhere. Not doubting Harbaugh but at the end of the day he’s human. If he really wants to go to the NFL, how much will he be in for this game. Already missed half the season, now a big jump up in competition in a bowl game where he’s not had much success. If Alabama can take an early lead I think doubt could creep into Harbaughs mind as well as the players.

Michigan forced that offense to be one dimensional. They thought the OL could hold up and create a hole. It didn’t work. If it did work you’d be praising Saban like always. Don’t act like you know more than Saban when it comes to play calling. Michigan just outplayed Bama whilst both shots themselves in the foot repeatedly

The irony is I felt the exact same way when Georgia and Alabama were playing. I’d feel the same way if OSU and Alabama were playing as well lol. I obviously want Michigan to win, but if they do not, I want Alabama to lose badly. They’ve won too much over the last decade.

Plus I was hoping OSU was going to be a better team against Michigan this year. As an Alabama fan OSU fans I can get along with but Michigan fans are just delusional for some reason this year. I can talk to and have conversations with OSU fans but Michigan fans will give their talking points then get mad and start name calling. So maybe Michigan will get beat and get beat bad

I thought Jim Harbough was a sound quarterback in the day. This is desperation time for the Wolverines. Vegas opened this line at -1 and it has climbed all the way to 2.5. The money is pouring in on Michigan like a tap which won't stop running. In order to assess a discernible conclusion, we must evaluate the motivational factor. Michigan needs to show the entire Nation they are the "real" deal. What difference does their undefeated season mean if they lose this game? I believe Vegas opened this line far too light. My wager is on the Michigan Wolverines -5.5 (+140) to cover over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl. You are wearing a nice pink sweater. I have one just like it made by Abercrombie & Fitch. @@BigStewis This was an shocking win . I thought Alabama had this game wrapped up. I lost the second game because I took Texas over Washington. This is a highly anticipated National Championship Game. The ratings will be off the charts. I couldn’t believe how Penix ripped apart the Texas Secondary. He could be the best quarterback in the country.

People wanted to see undefeated Michigan and undefeated Florida state in this game, not undefeated Michigan face a non undefeated team today. Very boring. The college football committee has a very low iq to invite a 12 and 1 team and not give an invitation to an undefeated team.

stop acting like the cotton bowl is a representation of ohio states future. 3rd string freshman qb who had no offensive line. our defense played elite that game its just when the offense keeps going 3 and out eventually the defense will get tired. ohio states future is very bright despite that embarrassment of a game

Hey, Buckeye fan for 60+ years, here. Never seen anything as friggin pathetic as the Cotton Bowl. You must ask yourself this question: How did Ohio State have such a wealth of talent at the QB position for so many years - and then end up with so darn little this year. Day messed around with McCord all season and McCord didn't improve much. If Day had been recruiting for the future and had other options, McCord would have sat the bench. But Day didn't have options Because he didn't create any options like a Top Tier 1 coach would do. We don't have a QB. Looking to the portal to salvage your next season demonstrates exactly what I just said about failure as a coach. Day is not the lead dog to pull the sled. So if you're happy with the perennial 1, maybe 2, maybe 3 -loss season and beating Indiana and Penn State, then you'll be happy with 2024. College football has changed and Ryan Day's been caught flat-footed.

@@DAISYROSE22 Just cause a guy can’t develop a qb once doesn’t mean anything, osu is still recruiting qbs at a high level not to mention the talent at receiver. and for the transfer portal it is just apart of the game. besides mcarthy all the starting qbs in the cfp are transfers. ohio state will pull it together, now if day loses to michigan next year i think he should be out but i think he has another chance to prove himself. plus there is no better coach we could get.
