Rose Robin and Blossom, 'The Bird and the Bee' is a really sweet little watercolour painting measuring approximately 18x18 cms in image area. It is designed to capture the simple beauty of both my subjects, flora and fauna in a classic natural history style. The white background is clean and elegant, the focus on detailing as much life and magic into the colours, textures and elements of this painting as well as I can. You can read more about this piece on my website blog pages, but here is a short clip of the painting coming together in time. Thanks for following!

Heidi Willis Heidi, I was watching how to color the graphite on the back of the sketch photocopy. Is it okay to hand-make one graphite sheet for general use instead of doing it on the back of every sketch? I was thinking that might save some time and effort? Thank you!

I'm stunned by the beauty of this piece, Heidi. And I'm amazed how difficult it is to process and understand what happens right before my eyes. Although I'm watching you painting this, it is so hard to believe and understand that "just" painting produced what I can see in the end. Do you know what I mean? LOL oh btw, may I ask what piece of music this is? It is so beautiful and I wanted to ask that before.

Thank you, thats sweet. Its amazing watching it emerge before you, and of course im a time lapse addict of all things so this its loads of fun to apply it to my painting. It really slows my work process down to do but I like to make them for you all as I can. This week i finished making such an excellent one and realise i must have accidentally deleted it from my computer, so thats days of work gone and now i cant share it... heartbreaking! Yes it is beautiful music isnt it, i found it forever ago in a copyright free music album and love it. I believe its by AShamaluevMusic

@@HeidiwillisAu Thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I can imagine how it must feel to loose the footage of your work. At least you still have the painting I guess. This piece of music is the perfect choice for your time lapse videos.

@@HeidiwillisAu Oh no, that's heartbreaking. Hopefully the homeware will be beautiful enough that it can serve as comfort. :-) I once lost a hard drive with month of digital artwork stored on it. It feels like losing a part of ones self.
