I really really love when she talked about Fairies dancing around thyme. Well me myself also believe in fairies, don't think it's ridiculous, but I'm an ultimate green lover, I adore every green creatures here in my garden whenever I'm faraway and leave home even for a week I can say that the fairies is really taking care of my plants and trees they are really healthy. I play some instrumental music with my plants so they can emit positive energy and my plants is very very happy and I'm the most happiest person. Plants have feelings they can sense everything they have cells as we do. So If you really want to have healthy greens love them and they will love you back.

By the way the sage here in Nevada is actually an Artemisia. Howevah, I do love culinary sage - Grown in friends’ gardens.. yes such a grounding and clarifying herb ally). All the different sages, as well as thyme. I fell in love with THYME brewing it as a simple one morning; and I felt its potency flowing through my blood and wrote about it in my journal. Thank you so much for all your beautiful work in the world

I took this as a tea (thyme, sage, rosemary, or just sage on it's own) to see how it worked and I could feel my limbs get cold and my head and body core get warmer. I think this is what drives the weening, this coldness suggests it hits smooth blood vessels to restrict flow. The inverse of this weening is galactagogue effects of the extremity warming ginger.

Sage is well named, coming from the Latin "salvare", to save, in reference to its curative properties. How highly it was praised inolden times we can read in a delightful old herbal: "During the Virgin Mary's flight from Herod, all flowers in the field were asked to hide Her and the Baby Jesus, but none gave her shelter except Sage. After Herod's men had gone without seeing Her and the danger had passed, the Virgin Mary told the Sage: "From now to, eternity, you will be the favourite flower of mankind. I give you the power to heal man of all illness and save him from death as you have done for me." Since then Sage grows to the benefit of mankind.

Thanks for this very interesting information. I have sage and thyme growing in pots in our home. We live in Northeastern Utah, almost 7000 ft up in elevation, so our winters can be cold and harsh. Can they be planted outside, or will they winter-kill? I don't want to lose these beautiful plants, so I am not sure whether to transplant them outdoors.

Diana Ludwig Hi Diana! Thanks for sharing your question. It might be a matter of finding a variety that works well in your region and maybe providing some winter protection. Question: I recently harvested some sage towards end of October, I am wondering if dark spots on the leaves are okay? Some of the leaves are litter in color, maybe even having a yellowish hue. Just wanting to know as I am picking through them after the rinsing which ones I should be discarding. Thank you in advance😃👍🏽

It could also depend on the type of sage growing in your garden. However, our senses are a great way of telling what is good and bad. Mold, slime, and discoloration are typically good cues not to ingest. Try to get the most natural looking leaves first.

Be blessed 🙏 and bountiful, may God's light and will guide you in your path through life. I live in a greenhouse in my friends backyard wooded area border, we grow herbs, leafy greens and veggies. I sprinkle various herbs in my sheets and pillow cases. We also have chickens and found all the herbs help in their hen house, coop and run area. I constantly keep mounding everything in the garden, it's a lovely experience, I want a neighborhood full of herbs, and edible gardens everywhere. Thank you for the information and being an influence upon the world. ❤
