+Jesse Luciano I'd say Odd Future's done more to contribute to hip hop than Papoose. First of all, Odd Future introduced hip hop to a wider audience with their style. Also, everything that I've heard Papoose in has been about par to a little above par. Odd Future had more innovative artists than Papoose as himself. Tyler is a genius producer, Earl's the best lyricist out of Odd Future, definitely better than Papoose. However, the rest were about mediocre to sub-par. And going back to the "wierdo rap". So what if it is, a lot of those artists could murder Papoose, such as R.A. the Rugged Man and Jarren Benton. Some of the lyrics may be shock value, but it shouldn't be put on such a wide umbrella.

The alphabet song was the nicest thing I have heard from him, but only because it is so difficult to remember that many words. Even that song had no real continuity. I think the problem is that people think that he is "real", that means he is a dope lyricist. I know plenty of "real" cats that can't rap for shit. All real means is that you are true to yourself. What comes with being true to yourself is not giving a shit what other people are doing. I never said Papoose was garbage, but I have heard the shit he raps about a million times. I have been listening to rap since the early eighties. Over 30 years of listening to lyrics. Papoose is not the best to me, and isn't even original.
