One thing I really appreciate about your wardrobe is that you've made all these things to be actually wearable for everyday life, and that it is very clear that they were made by you and for you because of the colors and patterns and fits. Someday I want to feel that way about my own wardrobe. Thanks for the inspiration. 💖

Lovely summery dresses 😍 Note for non-Tasmanians: 26°C (78°F) actually feels quite warm, as it tends to be more humid here than on the mainland, and the UV is more extreme.

Great video! Loved all your choices for the week. I see baskets at the end of Tuesday's thrift lol.. my eyes!!! 😍 A little suggestion.. with Sunday's floral McCall's dress that you need to alter. I wonder if you could make a piece of fabric that snaps to the inside. So, on either side of where the low cut V is. I'm pretty sure I had lace ones that you could put into a blazer so it looked like your were wearing a camisole. You could use a piece of the same fabric or broidery anglais etc etc etc 🤷‍♀️😁

This has always been my dream but I can't use a sewing machine. It's funny because I am a really neat hand sewer even though, I didn't learn any formal stitches. As a teenager, I used to hand repair my father's work shirts and I used to make him shave too, I used say to him just because you are a plumber, doesn't mean you should have tears in your clothes and be a bit stubbly. Anyway, I have tonnes of clothes and my dream is to upcycle them but I haven't the skills to do so, you're so blessed to have them. I'd pass pout at 26 degrees 18 degrees is what most Irish people find comfortable, anything hotter and we'd need access to a swimming pool to cool down, it was 11 degrees yesterday here! Enjoy your wardrobe, lots of love, from Ireland 🇮🇪❤️

Please do a video of you altering the dress you said was too big in the bust for you! I often find dresses in the thrift store that I wish I could tweak just a little bit--I'm bigger/curvier on the bottom, so often a L/XL bottom fits me, but then the top is too big on me and I can't figure out how to take it in. :(

OMG, Janelle, your clothes are SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I adore them all, but the floral dress you made from a vintage sheet five years ago is absolutely amazing 😍😍😍 If I had a selection of gorgeous handmade dresses like you, I would wear them all the time. I actually wear me-made every day, I am working towards a 100% me-made wardrobe (except for underwear), but mostly separates. I wear trousers and jersey tops as my standard outfit in winter, and skirts and tee shirts in summer, as Iike the flexibility. However, you have inspired me to make some dresses this year!

Janelle, I so enjoyed this review of what you might wear over a week. You looked truly lovely. I loved all of your dresses but two specifically caught my eye. The black and white asymmetrical dress astonished me. While I have always been attracted to gingham fabric, I did not realize how wonderful the larger check--in black and white--would be. The fact that its empire waist was made to create an asymmetric flow winningly challenged any outdated notion a viewer might hold about this style. My absolutely favourite dress was the Rosa design perfectly paired with the stunning fabric. This dress took my breath away. I hope someday I can make one similar, but that suits me. I completely understand why you have kept it in your wardrobe and have worn it several times during the past five years. You possess a confident air of elegance, radiate beauty, and appear almost otherworldly or of better times gone by. All eyes on you, the imagine of genteel femininity

Glad you're going to fix that one dress. It's so pretty! Also, I can tell you're experimenting with editing styles from the last few videos, but they have been a bit flat and desaturated. There were times when some of the details in the fabric were lost, and I love seeing the textures and details of the things you make. Definitely don't want to rain on your experimenting but I really hope you settle on something that doesn't sacrifice the details! :)
