One of the biggest selling points is Roseville creates and supplies its own power, that alone is a huge plus considering your utility bill is significantly cheaper than cities fully dependent on PGE or SMUD. That is something that is always overlooked.

I lived in Folsom for one year...I've lived in Roseville (Sun City) for the last two years. I like Folsom much better...it is smaller, more cozy, closer to everything, not as congested, trails, river, I plan on moving back to Folsom. Both cities are very expensive to buy a home.

Lived in Folsom before. Used to work in Roseville. I would always take Folsom over Roseville. Folsom feels less sprawly, has much more greenery/wooded areas/wildlife, has a lot more outdoor options with not only trails within neighborhoods but the 32mile American river bike trail is right off of old Folsom. The lake is nearby and traffic doesn't feel as hectic as it does in Roseville. It's also closer to Lake Tahoe making it like a 90-100 minute drive. I was impressed with Folsom zoo being as small as it is having mountain lions, a tiger, bears and other animals I didn't expect. The dining is better in Roseville though.

The end of that comment basically outweighed the rest to me. I like Roseville better.

Some things not often mentioned but are important: If you are republican, Roseville is better. If you are democrat, Folsom is better if you are asian--especially Indian, because of Intel there is a large community there, Folsom is better If you want more diversity, Folsom is better If you are a transplant from the bay area, Folsom is an easier transition

Here's why Roseville is better than Folsom: County of Placer. City of Roseville Utilities.

You hit the jackpot with Roseville! Placer County is just the cherry on top of this amazing sundae, and Roseville Utilities? Talk about a power move! So, yes, Roseville definitely knows how to shine brighter than Folsom. Let's keep that Roseville spirit high and rock on! 🌟

Living anywhere in the socialist republic of California is hell.

It isn’t socialist, it’s part of the USA

Living in the Golden State can be quite an adventure, and I appreciate your unique take! However, it's worth mentioning that California's political landscape is as diverse as its landscapes. Let's explore the nuances rather than settling for broad strokes. 😉🌴
