This was a fabulous episode! Jo Anne Worley is so, so funny. She will be 87 years young in 2024. Rest Peacefully, Steve ❤

Steve Irwin was extremely famous in USA because of his addictive personality, and multiple TV shows and movies. But he was one of the most famous and beloved people in Australia long before any of the TV shows and movies just on his personality alone.

This episode was pre-taped on the afternoon of Monday May 24th, 1999. At this time, Rosie was pre-taping multiple episodes to air in the summer during hiatus. This episode premiered on Thursday June 17th, 1999. The encore presentation (as indicated in the opening) was Friday August 27th, 1999. Additionally, this was taped kind-of out of order as on the show that aired Tuesday June 15th, Rosie gets her original desk back! That is why you see it here.

How do you know all of these airdate/taping information of the Rosie show?
@RVernier6 ай бұрын
@@Mikeman-kt4nr as Ro would say , it's "useless s**t stuck to my brain." LOL In all actuality, I have a digital archive from the original run of all of the episode air dates and the guests who were on. However, we never really knew when the episodes that were pre-taped were actually recorded. But, now that they're airing in production order, it's easy to piece it all together.

Did Anya Lasagna lend the desk back to Rosie or was this taped prior to the 500th show?

@@RVernier Good job! Rosie started taping 2 shows a day in May for her summer hiatus from the show.

Really loved the segment with Rosie and Terk from Tarzan. Props to Disney Animation for doing this original animation just for this episode!

I never understood why Steve was called the crocodile hunter. He didn't ever hunt, or harm a single crocodile. He rescued them. He had a deep love and respect for them. So I dont know he accepted that as the name of his show.

We still get sad seeing Steve Irwin. So full of life. Everything was exciting to him. I thought it was funny how he said getting married was the scariest thing he had ever done. And he wasn't joking either. I remember people who didn't even like his show, and knew that it would happen eventually were even sad and upset when he died. He was that type of personality you couldn't hate. Even if you hated his show, and didn't approve of what he did, you still liked him. But Steve wouldn't have wanted to go any other way. He was always aware of the risks. Everyone assumed that it would a crocodile to take him out. Nobody would've guessed a stingray. I don't even think a lot of people knew they were deadly. They have stingrays in petting zoos at aquariums. And they said it was a one in a million chance that the stingray would sting him right in the heart. It's possible he could've survived had he gotten stung elsewhere on the body, and received immediate medical attention. Which he did have immediate medical attention on the boat. But because of the location of the sting, he couldn't be saved. And his last words were basically something to the tune of that he was okay with his circumstances, and that he was okay with dying.

His wife and his daughter Bindi (little girl?) have taken over his conservation work. That gator scared me more than it did Rosie!

Wow! Thanks Rosie (and staff) for putting these Rosie shows up! I LOVED this show when I was in fifth grade. I used to daydream that I would be in the audience and she would call me up to ask me questions and call me a cutie patootie and throw kooch balls at me!
