Two weeks ago we spent the weekend hiking and packrafting around Ross Lake and spending the nights in hammocks. It was a first time for the packrafts and the hammocks (on a backpacking trip) and it was a memorable experience.

This was the video that inspired it all for me, and why i bought the klymit, even though I was personally at the payload limit. Last year I wasnt able to walk very far. Down 110 lbs, I’m starting my summer with hiking/packrafting day trips and learning my new limits. Thanks for inspiring me all those years ago to just keep moving and get out there.

Love the vid have a tip for u. Cut a dollar store swim noodle like 10 inches Long put it on the paddles thru the holes. Just in case the paddle drops n the floatie will keep it up. No lost paddles. Hey anything is possible.

Ross Lake is like a Western Glacial Park. The upper end is in Canada. There are 24 campsites on the lake and must be reserved . I have camped at Little Jerusalem Island and Beaver Creek Falls. You can access from below the dam and call for a truck that will bring your canoe or kayak up to the lake. You will not find more beauty or remote splendor anywhere in the US. Iguana

Awesome trip! Thanks for the videos. I have wanted to packraft Ross Lake as well as utilize hammocks in the dense washington forrest for a while now...jealous. P.S. If there is any wind, a light weight sail can be handy on big open flat water.

Still use them on occasion. I'm planning to take my daughter out this year as well! They're not as fast as the alpacka rafts, but for the price I've been really impressed. They're durable enough to take a light beating.

Wow! Awesome job editing, Paul. What a way to showcase such a beautiful area. Not getting going until 8 though eh? How come you didn't sleep in that much when I hiked with you? ;) On a serious note, one of your best vids (if I say so myself). :) - Chris

+The Outdoor Adventure Not sure. I am planning on moving to WA in the next couple of years and I am planning adventures already. I want to hike to Lena Campground and raft back into Ross. Looking at Google maps, the creek looks pretty hardcore in some areas but easy going below Thirty Nine Mile Campground. Just thought I'd ask! Great video!

I think the question is Good enough for what? Our worked for everything we needed it for and still does years later. Certainly not whitewater material, but much lighter.
