IELTS Speaking test band score of 8 with feedback

3 жыл бұрынIn this video, we share an IELTS Speaking Mock Test of a candidate with a band score of 8. We have inserted the examiner's feedback and the reason why she got that band score at the end of the video.
She is one of our candidates that now is working with Ross IELTS Academy to record samples video of IELTS Speaking.

Best of luck. Try to be natural and don't use memorized answers. And before going to the speaking room try to listen to a podcast in English, something really simple, it helps you a lot to warm up your brain and have a better performance

i have never learned english from the school or studing , a 6 years old kid playing video games for the first time and don't even understand the meaning of "start new game" Bought my dictionary and started to learn english by my self , the days are runing and communications becoms easy day by day , The child has grown up and is twenty years old , and still playing video games , commuincate with people by voice chat and improve his accent ... i proud of my self , i'm not fluent yet but im too close from it .. finally i'm pretty sure that one day iwill take this challenge with this incredible examer insha' allah :)

Some tutors emphasize that the consistent ‘ah, hmm’, can be a means to reduction in the grading system. In this presentation, the lady rested heavily on that for gathering her thoughts. How best does that sit in the ‘realistic’ examination?

I think that is fine since it is normal for a natural conversation to have pauses and stuff while you're thinking of what to say next. What I get from these videos is that this "interview" is just a normal conversation between you and the interviewer, and not a "test", as in, it should be *treated* as a normal conversation. If you talk in a robotic way without pauses and stuff, the examiner would think that you have learned the answers to the questions and will immediately either change the question quickly or cut off your band score.

Punctuation and fluency isn't enough for 8.0. But coherence and cohesion, grammar is good.

My test was yesterday and let me tell you guys my examiner was the sweetest person on earth like she was literally smiling as i entered the test room that made me so relieved and confident and as i was speaking she was listening patiently and with interest(which i never expected)the questions were easy but i still had a few pauses when I was anwering. All the best for u guys who r gonna take the test. (Edited: my test score is 7)

i am always given 7 or 6.5 for this speaking.while practise teacher says fillers r not acceptable.same as i this video
