Mosè in Egitto (Moses in Egypt) is a three-act opera written by Gioachino Rossini to an Italian libretto by Andrea Leone Tottola.
The opera was loosely based on the Exodus from Egypt of the Israelites, led by Moses, rendered agreeable to the opera stage by introducing a love theme, in which the Pharaoh's son Amenophis plans to prevent their departure, since he loves the Israelite Anaïs.

Beautifully sung but ruined by some awful squealing noise.

I did some research. It seems the noise is caused by some sort of lifeform named "birds", which appear to be very common in open spaces such as the theater in the video. Unfortunately, preventative extermination of aforementioned birds prior to any kind of outdoor exhibition is likely to be rather unpractical, and quite illegal in most countries. How disappointing indeed.
