Back in the day this was my prized possession. My family moved over ten times and I eventually lost these. I felt so nostalgic today and had to see them again.

This version of Optimus Prime is my favorite just because of this. I’m going to be getting these two characters for Christmas just because they can combine, so thank you for this amazing video.

It sucks that I only found Jetfire ONCE! His electronics didn't even work! This combination is really cool, though. It's nothing like what you see nowadays (and it looks satisfying). I know there is a 3P set out there, so I would love to hunt it down. Hopefully, we can see a review of ROTF Jetfire in your other reviews. That would be so cool!

Thanks to your video, I can finally combine it! It's was very difficult to me the part of the jetpack (even I think there was something wrong with that pieces at the beggining, but at last, with a lot of pressure they fit) at the end just took some time to find a right balance in the ancles, and I'm so happy with the final results! Fast forward to 2020 I just got both of these for 25 a piece. Mint and complete and then I took those dumb stupid swords out of Optimus Prime's arm and put them in a baggie and threw them on the bottom of my shelves. I needed this refresher to get me through putting them together because it's complicated for nothing and also because I like original shit more than I like masterpiece knockoffs and upgrade kits. finally ive been waiting for this!

I was at a pause getting these because I had just gotten studio series 44 optimus. But was so bummed at how small he is for leader class. Then the thing I dont like about the 2009 - is that the legs loose motion. But decided to go with these figures because the size of the 2 figures makes such an impression and reminded me of how much I love powermaster prime and genrai. So todsy Im getting the Takara- japanese speaking versions of these figures - cant wait! Its thanks to You Tube videos like these and their creators like Bert thst help collectors like me get it right!!

I remember I used to have the Jetfire one. Was never able to find Optimus anywhere sadly. I had both of them in a tiny figure form though.

I jsut want to say that this is one of my fav combination !!! but This Optimus Prime came from the line HFTD (Hunt For The Decepticon) not from ROTF cuz he get some paint job like battle damage... But it's a great fig too

Holy shiit I remember one time I beg my Grandparents to buy me that version of Optimus and they said that it's ugly compare to the newer version of optimus. I admit i thought its does not look good but still beg them to buy me that optimus ans regreted it since I saw the newer version but after watching your vid damm Jetfire can be combined with optimus no wonder why optimus has those extra parts. Now all of my regrets are gone lol.
