The largest Testing patch in some time was released yesterday and with some really game braking features. The only thing i would say is acceptable, is if you would only be allowed to store marks or tinctures/nildrops/other consumables which boosts stats for some time or extra hp/mp pots. Loot drop potions/clovers could also be considered, but not items/pet skins/skins, If you want that item in particular that bad and you are scared of risking it at that moment,just nexus, unlock skin/ put the item vault the item and go to the dungeon next time for full complete.

Yeah the pet storage is a bit silly. You could just unequip gear if you get to a part of a dungeon you're not confident in. For example before patience in shatters you could just unequip anything that doesn't boost hp and get it back if you die. They could maybe do 1 slot to store a drop you really want to keep but to also stay in the dungeon without worry.

Everybody hates this pet storage thing, I HAVE to hope with a nearly 100% negative pushback by the community, it will just be another one of those "Deca Moments" that never makes it to prod, But who knows? I also will say that while MOST of the oryxmas weapons suck, The cheerful chipper has always been in contention for best sword in the game, but being outclassed by Dblade which is easier to get and has a SLIGHTLY longer true range pushed it out of favor, With the 5% damage buff from the engraving, it will CATAGORICALLY be the best sword in the game at all def levels (if you can hit all the shots), and it will probably be used in place of dblade for that reason

Honestly, I don't think dblade or chipper are better than pixie. Pixie is the up-close king. Much better range and projectile speed than chipper or dblade, and though it's shot is affected by defense much more, expose mostly averages the dps back.

Pet backpack could actually boost players' confidence for clearing multiple part / multiple boss dungeons if they get valuable loot and are afraid to lose it. I think that letting people have some wiggle room is overall a net positive. The gold cost though.... Also, noone's talking about it, but it seems we better waste our green dust before the new update hits.

I agree that they should change the saddle to be fame unlocked and only for consumables/marks.

The shatters noob inside me likes the idew of being able to store a sentinel/mage UT without having to worry about choosing to leave before king or stay and die, but the rest of me hates this idea. I like that there is extra storage without you having to lose a precious backpack extender on every single character though. I saw some other comments/posts saying that you should only be able to put consumables/non equippible items inside for extra nildrop/effusion/loot boost storage across characters. Another thought i had was that maybe they could make it so that once you put an item inside you can't remove it until in nexus/vault that way you can store white bag drops in challenging endgame dungeons with multiple bosses without worrying. It could also help traders so that they can keep several valuables on hand with any character without having to worry about vaulting/swapping characters when trading or when they go to actually play the game. The state it is in right now is unacceptable though. I could see maybe one slot the way it is being okay but being able to store an entire set plus swapouts seems absurd. Being able to raw dog patience with o2 tops and a ubhp without fear of losing your set ruins the fun.

The only way i see it being an acceptable feature would be if they make it so that the pet backpack thingy is an 1 or 2 spots-only backpack, like you could only store 1 or 2 items in there. Even then it's way too broken but atleast it's better

So let me get this straight... they added a permanent storage for gold. When there's all ready the issue of people not dying in game because of hacked clients and what not... Great job Deca! Another home run!

Gleff, is it 100 gold for the first, then another 100 for the 2nd slot? or is it 100 for the first, then 200, then 300, etc? Kind of hard to understand the way you broke it down

meaning 800 gold total for all slots vs 3600 gold total

It increases with each slot, so it is the second option, and it would cost 3600 gold total.

pet backpack seems busted but hey its perfect for holding keys when you are chaining them for the guild boys and dont have to worry about loosing them

You can put your swap outs in your pet inventory which is nice. So non hacker players are more interested in bringing swap outs instead of bringing the bare requirements to runs.

Maybe if they gave 1 slot of the pet backpack to everyone it would be ok? I would really love it, it's not like you can equip items from that backpack, if you die using the item it disappears, if you enter a dungeon too hard for you, you are most likely going to store items you value a lot so it's more like a portable vault. Tbh the only items I would store in there are more likely joke items, or if you give it a very serious use I would use it for consumables like nildrops or more potions. Imo not really that good, it would help people that are scared, for example, of continuing shatters after they get a white on the 1st or 2nd boss (totally me fr), they just store the newly obtained goodie and keep going with no stress. (That's the only "p2w" scenario in my head)

you gotta think they are trying to make the game easier without making it easy. it’s not a simple feat. this is good to hear for me. i don’t have all the time to play and sometimes i play while extremely tired and make a lot of mistakes. this can make a lot of those mistakes less painful

No reason to be bringing back ammy, the core of rotmg in my eyes has always been the challenge of building and keeping alive your character or characters, yes we had ammy back in the day… but people don’t realize how hard it was to get and even when u did get it you probably broke it the next day(no1 wants to see ammy get abused or used) btw it’s just gonna take away from setups no one wants 5 ring swaps yes I’m talking to you rotmg chads

Wait till the Community hears about VAULT slots. If you have an item you dont want to die you can just put it IN THE VAULT. And then after you die the items are still in the vault. CRAZY. GAMEBREAKING. Wait till you guys also hear about discords where a dungeon that should take 30-40minutes is completed in 5 mins. IT WILL BREAK THE GAME. Rotmg players are very smart...

Who cares if pets have backpack , endgame dungeons are so hard nowadays and people don't have time to keep farming important items , just be grateful that you can keep precious items with you. The people who complain are the same ones who will cry if they lose their whole O3 set 🙀

But the point of the game is perma death, and you should have risk of losing the items you play with.

Yeah but you only die to the hard phases of bosses usually, which you can save all your items during those phases.
