I just bought this ball today. I am already hooked. After throwing the ball to test the fit afterwards I am hooked. That ball was doing things I didn’t know I could do with a bowling ball. Can’t wait to put it in play in league.

Is it similar to the astro physix cuz I really like mine. Weak cover strong core balls work well for me. The rs2 is has geys through the fronts effortlessly

Attention Star has the same cover that was used on the RSTx2. I really liked that ball and was hoping the Star would kinda fill the gap it left when it got discontinued. I know this is a new core being used state side. But from what I see here it might be just what I'm looking for. ✌️

Thanks for the video Darren! Sorry, I usually watch the videos as soon as they come out, but I wanted to give this one the "Attention" it deserved (SMH for corny dad joke/pun) 😂 I like the comparison pieces you used. I don't have enough touch to use a ball that shiny. I would need to hit it with a 3k pad to knock off some of that gloss. 👍

Idk why ball to get next I got the 3D offset High Rev, an exotic gem, envy tour, and ocean vibe. I want a ball for dry that isnt a urethane and I am stumped on what to get. Any suggestions?

If you want a ball for dry lanes you can always get a tropical surge or the equivalent for other brands. If that isn’t what you are looking for I would check out a ball with a symmetric core and weak cover like a Track Heat

I just got the black widow 3.0 and it’s an amazing asymmetrical solid to have in your bag. I highly recommend it unless your bowling alley doesn’t oil the lanes much

Disclaimer not a pro bowler but i do see a couple of my bowling seniors do that too & i asked them the rational behind it They mentioned that using one shammy is flimsy & doesnt give you are good grip when wiping oil off the ball

never understood the point of throwing it sideways , and hoping it hooks back. If i throw it that way it would go right in the gutter, or hit the 10 pin

The best angle to attack the pocket is not dead on. The reason we hook balls into the pocket is because if we were throwing straight, we would need to throw it from a lane over to get the perfect angle of attack. The result of hooking into it is a much higher strike percentage. You manipulate the balls revolutions and axis rotation so that when it hits the breakpoint (friction) it turns inside and attacks the pocket from the highest percentage chance of striking. There's only a small element of "hoping it hooks back" if you are reading the lane properly, and applying the correct ratio of speed:revs.
