Was here in February. The trap is slightly different and there's an extra jump down the bottom where you have some serious speed. Sometimes the workers get mad at you for going too fast...

I've done this when I was about 10, there's a bit on the track (intermediate) where you can get stuck if you don't go fast enough, I almost got hit.

I did this track, luckily I made it but these people ahead crashed, I curbed someone how, however, my mum, my friend, and my friends mum weren’t that fortunate. They crashed into the slow pokes. I literally went forward and heard screams so loud. I someohow finished this track when I was 11.

If anyone is going to New Zealand, please do this last. I lost the grip on that first jump and got rolling for some 10 m on the ground, luckily it was my last day so I didn't have to do everything else feeling like I was run over by a truck.

I have been on this a lot when I was younger. It is so cool. Its faster than it looks on video. Great fun an yes the crashes when you go too fast are so cool. Love it.

Awesome sauce. Love the little stamp on his right hand. They give you that stamp to prove that they have shown you how to brake. If you go too fast and stack it, well that’s your own stupid fault mate - you knew how to brake. There’s no suing for compo in NZ which is why such fun is available. And you do get airborne at 0:59

I went on this when I was 15 years old, although I remember there was a fork in the track at some point with an advanced section you could take that went down a steep section where you got mega speed. I'm now 46, and going back there in June. I can't wait.

Decades ago, my daughters and I rode the luge and I came around the bend at the top of the steep section and there were two teenage girls stopped at the bottom, blocking the track and there I was, coming down on them like a dive bomber. They heard me screaming and scattered, leaving just enough gap for me and my vapour trail to get through. They showed up behind me at the drop-off point and there wasn't a lot of eye contact from them. Great fun, all the same and my daughters and I nearly blew our budget on the ride.

0:56 can get some pretty good air off that small crest. As long as you take the corners before with a nice line so you can hold speed, you’ll be getting some decent air. We used to see how far we could land.

Good fun ride. I did this last week. Crashed at about the 1.19 mark on this video, while trying to pass a kid on the outside (something I never do when driving on the road!), and got some skin abrasions for my carelessness! Also lost my reading glasses at that point, so if anyone finds them let me know :-)

I rode this track in 2001. In just a pair of shorts, wasn't the best idea. Came off halfway down and gravel rashed my arse, it wept for weeks haha. First day in NZ aswell!

We used to have these when I was a kid but they have long been dismantled around here.. fun times. First aid was ready for the road rash at the bottom of the hill. lol

last time i was here (a few months ago) i saw a kid fall off the track and down a small cliff. he was fine, it was hilarious.

I went on this thing a few years back. At the time for an extra couple of dollars you could have another go. what the video does show is how bumpy the track is & the carts have no springing. time i finished my legs were like jelly & I could hardly walk & as I literally crawled away the guy in charge of the track called me back to remind me I was due a second go, I declined. But a great experience anyone under the age of 60 must give this a go.
